There should not be any reservation for any body, if you have guts then come in merit. Government should support poor people giving discounted books, education, forms etc. If some one doesn't deserves why do we want to see him in top position?

Reservation and financial help should come at the education stage for the deprived lot. Once having graduated, every one should be treated equally. What we are doing is just the reverse. We dont do anything to help the deprived to get educated themselves and that is why illiteracy has become rampat even after 60 years in this country. But at the same we are making reservations for the deprived who have been denied education all through. Parameswaran
Brhamhins are primarily responsible for the mess in the country. They should never get reservations. They are the people who are started it and still promoting it for their advantage. They enjoyed the fruits of it for 1000 years. So let them be there. You go to any temple in TN they are so particular about the caste thing. I think they do not deserve till they stop suoorting the caste system.

Shahbuddin saheb, what you are saying is today being preacehd by the clerics of your community. They are denying everything rightfully due to the community through fatwas using religion as a tool. And still you speak of Brahmins. What do you know about Brahmins. Caste is never a criteria in temples in TN and Kerala. If you are talking about community get togethers, there is a saying "birds of the same feather flock together". This applies to all communities, including Muslims. Parameswaran

A muslim interested in temple. Appreaciate that. No you are reading wrong history. Until 1816 India was constituted by a peaceful community. Brits wanted to screw it so they started favouring brahmins and started spreading bad omen about brahmins. So pls read a correct version of history.

Basically we made up the mess and you have destroyed everything.. M.u.s.l.m.s in that way have destroyed every temple, building in India.. they don't belong to any country .. and most of the M.u.s.l.m.s still think of Pakistan as their first country ..
BTW how much muslims contribute to India apart from bringing terrorist , fatwa and all sorts of ill things.. and still want reservation , job , 4 wives ( to keep the rod hot ) ..and a 50% trip to Makka.. .Basically nothing more than parasites
Built sanskrit schools and all brahmin boys shouuld be allowed to learn this dead langauge without any cost.so that,these boys will get training to blah blah in temples.

Visit any reservation blogs. The most agonizing point to other communities is that Brahmin's are in charge of temples.
Why brahmins need reservation when there is such disunity among themselves? they cannot make a common platform. they cannot talk one word. they feel that all other castes and religions are made of fools to be united. First let the community show that they can make difference and then ask for any thing.

What logic or sense does it make to say that you will punish the child for a crime his father has committed? If thats the case, all the ppl lodged in jails, their f@m!lies shud be cu11ed. Not that i support reservations, i dont need any, i will use my asset, my brains, which you seem to lack and still thriving on reservations. Wake up and realize what you are missing due to this reservations. Its making you and your ilk lax and the spirit of survival of the fittest is dying a slow death. You may not be effected by it, but somewhere down the line your decendents will curse for this policy.

No two individuals are alike...why should Brahmins unite...everyone has to individually serve the nation..There is no trade unionism...As I said, this issue raised by Shekar is to bring into notice the existing system of reservaiton in TN. The whole system needs to be abolished and we need to depend only on Merit...This is a political way of starting the discussion towards tha end

pavan u should konw the details of any caste community when u are commenting.
it is a bad luck for India that a ST - Baburao wrote the Indian constitution. SCs were lazy and hence did not get chances.. See US, there is no reservation and only merit gets recognized. Why shud common people pay for SC/STs laziness, negligence attitude.

bindhaas bola... lazy people will remain lazy for the rest of their lives still blame for something which happend 100's of years before....
no need to suspect In india people fight for the status of SC or ST but no one fights for the status of Bramhins because no one cares for them so identifying bramhins is very easy but again I am very sure 90 percent of Bramhins never accept reservation they beleive they have talent

not only bram's. today's al fc's have learnt to cope with the cut throat competetion by using their god given asset - BRAINS. Its the reserved category who are losing out. They are unknowingly developing a lax culture and will be cursed upon by their generations to come.
No caste or community in India should get reservation because it is an Insult to that particular caste or community.Free and quality education should be made available to all Indian citizens,this reservation term is coined by wicked politicians to remain in the power. All citizens should understand this sweet trap and shun it in all forms.
I liked the courage shown by the AIADMK M.L.A. I wish no reservations be given to brahmin community so that we explore our own skills and pull up our own spirits, bring out the best possible results. If we get a reservation, you are bound to suppress your skills and live in fools paradise, working under some sc/st/bc community officer, who is much junior to one in service or very inferior in knowledge. Just by virtue of caste they get faster promotions and again their kith and kin get reservations right from admission in schools to admission in jobs, promotions etc. If there are no reservations at least we will go and work where there is value for merit.
