Enough of reservations for Everybody! People and lazy bums are misusing them as it is. Look at government servants, they have all become fat from laziness, bribes and corruption, plus they are mean too. No free rides for anybody!

The country needs all round development and not schemes to provide reservation on the basis of religion or caste. Is India only for minority
Hate begets more hate brothers. Forget about the past. I see that Brahmins are very social, open-minded, committed and talented individuals who contribute quite a lot to society. Brahmins pride is almost disappeared. This is a good time for us to work as citizens to make Tamil Nadu a better state. H@te never solves any problem. It only makes more...I hope people understand it soon.
We don't need any reservation. We know how to survive and be on top. Whether by hook or crook, Brahmins will be on top. If a Brahmin CM (Jayalalita) can rule the land of dravidians, isn't that enough? Most people in US think all Indian's are vegetarians - why ?? You know the answer. It took Lal Bahadur Shastry, Narasimha Rao, Vajapayee to lift India from the mess whether it is military or financial or social. Lack of special treatment is the key to our success. Don't take that away.

southern pride do you really think still "Brahmins don't need reservation". You should understand that lack of opportunity has driven you out of INDIA. Where americans started beliving all indians are vergeterians (all brahmins ran out of india to various other countries) next question do you/governmen celebrate any birthday's of the personalities you mentioned ..? are they comparable with Ambedkar, babu jagjivan ram's birthday celebrations..?

Read almost all entries. We all must remember that all three varnas of chaturvarnyas benefitted from the old system. Kshatriyas were kings for thousands of years and r kings today also. Cant you c vaishyas owning all major businsesses even today? While the system was working everybody was happy to share the spoils and look down upon kshudras. Now that democracy has come and backwards have found voice, others are leaving brahmins behind for grabbing benefits of new systems and blaming only brahmins for all evils. Brahmins have always been poor. And they had monopoly on education of vedas only. Who wants to learn vedas and be a priest today? Earning is meagre. And if all backwards were poor, what were they giving to brahmins in dakshina? And if you are going to look into history of thousands of years why not begin with 10th centruy when muslims attacked india. What did british do with us? Anyway, we are in the 21st century. Time deamnds that we should be secular. somebody has said 85 per cent marriages should be intercaste. r u going to tell this to muslims? will their girls be ready for this? Make a law that all communities must do interfaith marriage if you can. Reservations cannot be justified on any grounds because they are discriminatory and perpetuate caste system. Find out a system by which injustice of the past will be wiped out and no new injustice will be done. Dont be smug. Getting reservations doesnt mean that u r something special.

BUT wasn�t it basically the other way when started, anyone who had the knowledge to be a teacher, is Brahmin and anyon who runs the business is Vaishyas...basically in the caste system there was no hierarchy but it was made so by monopolizing the resepective business (be it education too). However, today these seem irrelevant, reseravtion to any one on the basis of caste is completely wrong even if it is for Brahmins or anyone.
