No reservation to Brahmins
by selmeen kumar on Mar 31, 2009 10:27 PM  | Hide replies

Brahmins could not withstand without reservation for just 50 years after enjoying and looting innocent ppl for thousands of years. Imagine how others would have felt for many years as an opressed ppl. What brahmins achieved for many thousands, DALITS & non-brahmins have achieved more than that in less than 50 yrs in taking the country forward. However let's not take Brahmin as example instead give reservation to the poor brahmins as they shld not suffer for the sins committed by their fore fathers.

"DALITS & non-brahmins have achieved more than that in less than 50 yrs in taking the country forward"

Who ar ethose? Mayawati? Mulayam Yadav? What nonsense u r talking?
IT pioneer NRN Murthy is a brahmin. Chindambaram is a brahmin. Nehru family are Kashmiri brahimins. Jayalalitha is a brahmin.

Dalits have only become lazy bums by getting reservation and money from the govts. Most of the dalits are a useless lot. India is still a one country because of Brahmins.

Lot of opressed ppl in the society got education which was a dream some decades back where only brahmin can study. Ppl were denied education on the basis of caste. Now, other caste ppl also shine on par or better than brahmins in many fields. Discrimination was started by Brahmins and none else.

It's because of reservation. Still lot of tribal ppl and opressed ppl are in India who shld get proper education atleast. Anyway my friend, it's not my intention to degrade Brahmins, I do support poor brahmins shld get reservation as i mentioned. My point is that all are equal irrespective of one's caste.

Why would nobody care when Muslim league supports muslims? Why should everyone oppose Brahmins supporting Brahmins?

Anti-Brahminism is not secularism. When you treat everyone equally. There's no single secularist in the world, there never was - not even MK Gandhi.

Lets cut all these bulls**t. India can never ever ever improve in its social status.

it is a curse. in many medical colleges and higher learning centres many reserved seats remain unoccupied. Merit should be the basis without any cast system for any admission to jobs or education. for a starter a 5% reduction
in reservation from now to the next 20 years
will see India as a meritorious country.

Correct, merit should be the sole criterion. If Babasaheb Ambedkar could read under street lights and still write India's constitution what is preventing today's people from doing so?

Do U know recent take over of Chidambaram temple by non-hindus

The recent Take over of Chidambaram temple by non-hindus and aestheists on Tamilnadu shocks our conscience. In many ways the ‘dravadian (by logical corollary ‘non indian’) heavily campaign against Hinduism and Hindu Symbols bears resemblance to the actions of the Taliban against non-islamic symbols (Bamiyan Buddha statues) in Afghanistan. Under international outcry even the Talibans halted their destruction of the statues, but in India the same set of politicians are now keeping quite.
Needless to say every attack on Hinduism and a section of the Hindu society (dubiously called as ‘upper caste’) is packaged as social justice! Sp great is the fear of ‘caste, votebanks, that even parties professing support fo Hindutva are refusing to consider the just and fair rights of the Unreserved Class Hindus. Things have gone so far that none of them are even willing to consider the Unreserved Class Hindus as Citizens.

it is a pity that SV is forced to come out of AIADMK. He is one of the decently behaved MLAs.He should have joined BJP which fits him in all aspects. Along with Sarathkumar both could be model politicians for others to follow. TN people need politicians like him for getting the voters their dues instead of swindling the project money.

And whether it is the AIADMK or the DMK or the BJP or the Congress or one of the other regional parties, the one truism that remains unchanging for eternity is the fact that the land remains primarily a haven for knaves of all kinds !!

Problems in Brahmin community
by Perdesi on Mar 31, 2009 09:57 PM  | Hide replies

They can speak same language "Sanskrit" but they don't.
They are very much devided by North, South, East and West side Brahmins.
They debate within themselves not only for knowledge but for their personal gains also.

Once they unite and fight for common cause... No one on this planet can defete them.

We Brahmins should fight for our cause. Wake up Brahmins and fight for yourself.

BTW Inadvertently Human, Yes, I do. I am a Nashthik, Vedic Follower Brahmin. I do Sandhypasana, I do Agnihotram and after all these I work for living. There are many more Brahmans who do the same whether they are from North/South or somewhere else. I want to unite all of them to make sure that our voice is also heard by deaf govt.

And even if the 'dravidian' brahmin does not perform the Sandhyavandhanam, he would do his cause mighty good if he does not cringe when he has to meet and interact with the 'aryan' brahmin of the north !!

And conversely, the 'aryan' brahmin ought not to smirk derisively when he spots a 'dravidian' one !!

If we do that, we don't need to unite. Vedha, Shastra and our belief in almighty will protect us. That is what a Brahmin does. Not to play politics or accumulating wealth. Then we are just average humans fighting for average resources. A Brahmin should have no more money than what he needs to feed himself or his family for the next meal.

I know it is impractical. So, if you look at things technically, there aren't any brahmins in this world.

Your thinking is correct.
Brahmin is only called to be a brahmin if he recites Gayatri as much as he can.

However it is debatable that that a Brahmin should have no more money than what he needs to feed himself or his family for the next meal. Money accumulated by bad people will go only for their selfish means and ends.

A Brahmin should have money to feed hungry and needy ones, and money should be accumulated only through dharma and satya as the basis.

Ideally, a good man should have more power and money so that he can help other people, although acquiring power and money is not fully justified for a Brahmin.

If we show they'll fall at anyone's feet. What have they achieved in possessing all the wealth for many years. I can say Brahmins are the least intelligent ppl on earth after seeing the intelligence of Jews and the rise of non-brahmins in India in a short period.

Political Parties in Tamil Nadu is Communal
by S r on Mar 31, 2009 09:53 PM

Logic of branding parties communal if one party leaders speech against other religion. What about if party leaders gives speech against another caste what way they should be branded.

CPM - Communist tell.......... (Every thing right in name of politics).

Most of the Parties leader including Current DMK leader Karunanathi ans his son stalin, make speeches against brahims on regular intervals. Then why no NSA is implemented against CM Karunathi or PMK leader Ramdoss.

In India Every is fine in name of Politics and money power. Even they can kill, r..., loot, discriminate, violence, riots, show his caste and talk against other caste...

I think we should have a policy whereby all doctors/engineers from reserved quota should mention the word reserved next to their degree
eg. Doogie Howser, MD (Reserved);
Raj Malhotra MBA Finance IIM (Reserved)

This will help us decide whether we can be confident of availing their services or not.
