It is better to provide all kinds of help for education to all financially backward classes. And the selection should only be based on the quality. That should be the attitude for better India. Cast cannot be removed from human mind. In Europe and America casts are in the form of black, white, Asians, Irish, Indians, beautiful, handsome, ugly etc and they discriminate people based on this status. It is funny to see that in India if you call some one using their cast name in a disrespect way, then you could get 7 years of imprisonment if you found guilty. But the same backward cast people shamelessly use their backwardness to get job without working hard, called reservation. As a result of this system Indian administrative service ( all levels) soon will be filled with weeds. In India, I would definitely prefer to go to see a forward cast doctor to treat me, because I feel safe. It doesn’t mean that all backward casts are idiots. But when comes to personal health, even the politicians who appease the backward cast and also the members of the backward casts definitely would wish to get a forward cast doctor when they are in a critical health situation!! Because to avoid possible risks. I am not from Brahmin cast. But if we follow the nasty reservation system I do believe that Brahmins and other forward casts need some kind of consideration and financial support from the government. That’s all they need. Then they will be the first in the merit list. All the best Mr.

You know- that is a fact; congress politicians prefer o go to a high caste, well educated intelligent doctor, not a dalit/ SC/ST doctor who got in based on quota. That is the truth. The stupid politicians are ruining India. Same in USA- politicians want to push universal health care for all, but they have the best hospitals for themselves. Same in communist countries, politicians get the best, the population is royally scr ew ed with gimmicky policies to get votes. It is a racket.
I think it is not fair to corner just Brahmins for caste problem in India. Most of the high castes enjoyed and enjoying the caste hier-archy. In my opinion, Quotas for SC/ST/MBC should be enough ( this would be 20% i guess ). The vast major BC quota system should be abolished. Rationally speaking, Quota system is introduced to balance the society, Not topling it upside down - which mean periodically it has to be reviewed and corrected as required.

It is a myth that high caste people discriminated others to progress. That type of myth is exploited by missionaries for conversion. It is a sin to reserve 27% to a minority, when in a big country with limited jobs, the intelligent upper caste people are thrown to the street. This is the agenda of communists.

I love Mahatma Gandhi. I wrote this because of the ridiculous comments posted here. It is stupid to say that Brahmins were bred by the europeans. Gandhi was the true person who recognized the differentiated model that India needed to accommodate the dalits and shudras. Unfortunately, Nehru did not heed to this advice. This is the reason why we are seeing immense poverty in India.

If some people sit at home or temple and do intellectual things, where is the question of tanning the skin? I have seen many Brahmins who are dark in colour. Are you thinking about the absurd Aryan invasion theory? I am sure you are the biggest fool on earth. Make an European to work in the sun continuously for 10 yrs and see if his skin tans or not! Your name suggests you are a gone case.
One Brahmin thief used to steal flowers from my garden every morning. When I caught him one day, he said it was for Puja. I asked him why not plant his own flowering plants, he started stammering. I felt pity and let him go. The next morning he was stealing again. I chased him with a stick and he never came back again.

Silly story. I see a lot of mus lims and xtians cheating and stealing every day. Benny Hinn is a good example of a cheat.
Brahmins should first apologize to what they did to Indian society by creating, manupulating and taking undue advantage of caste system. They brought untoucability into the Indian soical values. Now a crime punishable by law.
It is pity to see Indian society still fighting these deases in the modern era. They need to learn from their western masters. In Australia Whites apologised to aborginal community. In America, Whites apologised to black africans and natives.
Where is the apology from Brahmins in India? Wehre are the elite Indians and why aren't they talking about it?
It seems to me it will take another 50 years before Indian values will catch up with the modern society.
Disclosure: I was born as a Hindu in an upper caste family but no longer consider or follow Hinduism.

My dear Vishal! No point blaming Hinduism. First correct yourself! Try understanding Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads. OR for easier understanding about what life is all about - try understanding Ramayana and Mahabharata (the shorter forms). But since you have an aversion for Hinduism. No where they talk about caste. Caste based politics had entered India thanks to Politicians (Ambedkar), Christians Missionaries and Muslim invaders from West. Anyways, if you not following Hinduism may I know which so called religion do you follow. That fanaticism called Christianity? Do you think there is no caste bias in there? Why is there a concept of Dalit Christians in India then? They are not allowed to enter churches. What about Indian Muslims. I am sure they will be treated as third rate citizens in Saudi Arabia!!! By the way religion means a way of life. Incidentally a way of life being practised in Bharat for eons is known as Hinduism. Similarly a way of life being followed in say Phillipines should be Phillipinoism, a way of life followed by Eskimos should be Eskimoism, a way of life followed by African tribes should be Africanism - you cant force them to become Muslims or Christians as is being done.. thats why the unnecessary violence everywhere..Hinduism follows live and let live. Thats why we spread like Islam or Chritianity. Well I am sure you wont understand all of this Vishal...pity you will miss something in life by not following the beautiful way of life called Hinduism...

Vishal , you should know every one practised the system in every family and all castes. Because it was not untouchability but infection control. Thats why in India Nai could do rhinoplasty, but in europe they could not until 200 years ago. Think again why did plates and saucers too get jootha once touched. It was infection control practised for morethan 5000 years. Patanjali writes that a feeling of aversion arises towards non complier 2300 years ago. Hospitals in west are struggling to eliminate MRSA super bugs from Hospitals because doctors shake the hands of pattients and forget to clean hands after using Toilet papers towipe their bottoms.

Reservation in Education should be purely based on merit and economical factors. Students who are brillian but cannot afford high cost in eduation should be given fee wave off . Some of them have made negative remarks on Brahmin priests etc. Please do not critize anyone by caste. In every community we have bad and good people. Corruption has envisaged our country in every walk of life. It has to be eradicated from root. So there's no point in blaming Brahmins or whosoever.
