Caste by birth is fraud
by Mind Clear on Apr 01, 2009 07:28 AM  | Hide replies

One needs to have the ability of all castes to succeed in Life - Thinker (Bramhin), Protector (Kshatriya), Economist (Vaishya) and a Skilled Worker (Shudra). Hence, talking about reservation based on caste by birth is fraud and waste of time unless it has some economic basis. In the 21st century, success is all about performance and productivity for inner fulfillment. Hence, either perform or perish.

The basis of reservation in our country is wrong
by Senthilnathan Swaminathan on Apr 01, 2009 07:18 AM

I don't understand how the poor would benefit from these when the well to do's from these castes are eligible for the same quota. And why a poor brahmin student would not get a reservation when a well to do person in some other community gets a reservation.

Reservation should be based on the economic status of the family and not the caste.. That is the only hope over a period of time we can eliminate poverty from the country which is the cause for all evil. Have you seen a wealthy guy being discriminated? When one does not have money (be it from any caste) he will be suppressed.. This is what we should remove.. But yeah politicians would loose the votes coming in the form of caste if this is implemented.

Brahmins & Dravidians - Who cares?
by Rohit sharma on Apr 01, 2009 07:15 AM  | Hide replies

An average south indian woman has 1.8 children in her life time. Whereas, a bihari or a UP woman has 4 to 5 children. This means that if the trend continues, south indians should expect most resources to be spent on Biharis and UPittes. One can already see the mass migration of these people into the northwestern & eastern states. They are completely changing the demographic profiles within these states. What if the biharies & upittes start coming to the southern states. Afterall, any indian is free to live anywhere in India. Thus, I am not sure if brahmin bashing serves any purpose for the dravidians. They should look at the impeding invasion of the northerners. Are they caste hindus? I don't know.

why do not the southern Indians how ever you term your indentity ie Dravidian... move to Kashmir after all you have the right as a citizen I would much rather live with a southern indian who is Hindu than a foreign muslim in Kashmir; I suspect it will take a 1 or 200 years for the southern Indian to figure this 1 out- in the mean time keep on arguing while the country is dissected

does not matter they are Indians..they will go where they see better opportunities.I am a south Indian..i don't mind them coming ..i would rather see them demand more from their govts.
And according to your logic the world must be threated because We indian migrate a lot too for better opportunites.
lets not get scared about invasions, lets fix what we have.

reservation should be based on income level
by santosh srivastav on Apr 01, 2009 06:39 AM

Reservation should be based on economic status or income level of a family. But as we all know in our country lot of malpractice goes on to hide actual income mainly by the business owners. Gross root problem is PAN Number has to be made compulsory just like Social Security Number in USA which can track every detail about a person be it income/personal details/background history/criminal history/employment history/....

People; the so called "intelligent" comment writers here; all got charged up. Look at some of the brahmin breeds in some of the states in India

a. Iyers and Iyengars in TN
b. Namboodiris in Kerala
c. Aptes, Guptes etc of Mahrarashtra
d. Kashmiri brahmins
e. Brahmin reddys of AP
f. Upadyays, Pandyas of Gujarat
g. Pandes of UP
h. the list goes on

Most of these people are fairer than their brothern in their own states. They are closer to Whites and Indians.

And my question was WHY

If some people sit at home or temple and do intellectual things, where is the question of tanning the skin? I have seen many Brahmins who are dark in colour. Are you thinking about the absurd Aryan invasion theory? I am sure you are the biggest fool on earth. Make an European to work in the sun continuously for 10 yrs and see if his skin tans or not! Your name suggests you are a gone case.

shoule people be treated equal?
by siva sankar on Apr 01, 2009 06:02 AM

HI we see that Mr.sekhar talking about equality of all people and its responsibilty of Govt to maintain equality, whats his satnd about non-brahmins becoming priests in temples, does he agree with that and will he or his madam agrree for an non brahmin to be educated in the kanche mutt.

this fake cry is all when they are down once they reach a limit or a majority they say they are on top of society
1. good people ask or fight for other people right, here he fights for his caste people
2.the so called kshatriyas and vaishyas had power and money with them so they were above the other section of people, but what did brahmins have and how did they attain such superiority in the society
when they could not maintain that superiority any more they talk of equality

3.all i could see of brahmins is being manipulative and talk great of even their very small achievments making a mountain out of mole

4. look at the brahmin society they cant follow the satyamurthui or they dont talk of him as his ideology wont get them power were as the folow cunning rajaji as it got them power
