Example> Rajputs can be muslim, Sikh or hindu or can be living in punjab or rajasthan or mp. It tells migration of people.
Same with Jats.
So Jati has both good and bad, which one you want to increase.
Unrealism when we ignore caste. Caste has bad things also, it can also become a way to unite indians and breaks language barriers/religion barriers. Tells how people migrated into india and learnt punjabi, hindi, telugu...bengali.. as they moved. Example > Jats can be muslim, sikh, hindu from Punjab, Rajasthan..Western Up...haryana...
So Jati has both good and bad, which one you want to increase.

A report in Times of India describes the Gulf of Kutch as India 's ' Gulf of Riches '. Four top business houses - Reliance Industries, Essar Group, Adani Group and Tata Group, have invested about $34 billion along the Gulf of Kutch's 700-kilometer long coastline. Other corporate, which had invested over $3.26 billion since the 2001 earthquake have investments worth another $19.5 billion in the pipeline. Ten special economic zones (SEZs) near Jamnagar, a 4000-megawatt power project and five private shipyards are coming up. And massive expansion is being undertaken of the Mundra and Kandla ports.
Gujarat's 41 ports handle 80% of India’s port traffic and 20% of its cargo.. It is estimated that by 2015, Gujarat's ports will handle 39% of India’s cargo.
Not only has Gujarat unseated Maharashtra as India’s number one investment destination but also, it is threatening to dislodge Mumbai, Maharashtra’s capital and the financial and business capital of India, as the trade gateway to the country.
Mundra port where Indian Oil Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum are setting up giant oil storage capacities has already emerged as India 's largest private oil storage tank farm..
Sixty percent of India’s coal imports enter via Mundra port. Mundra's importance is likely to soar further with the completion of mega power plants being set up by Adanis and Tatas.
The volume of cargo handled by Mundra and Kandla ports alone has outstripped that handled by Mumbai's ports - the Mumbai

Setting up of ports and expanding port operations are under the purview of the Central Government and not the state Govt. The investments you have mentioned above are due to the policies of the Congress Govt. in centre. Gujarat is reaping the reward of their policies.
The brahmin manu created the manusmrithi and without any political power the brahmins ruled us. Even when muslims and the british were ruling india the brahmins were ruling us. Surely they are extremely crafty. The most cunning people on earth. They dont own lands and they dont have power all they know is some mantras and then they mesmerize people and rule them. Brahmins have nothing and yet they win because they have the right strategies and tactics. Ideology alone is not enough to win a battle. You need right strategies and tactics.

Manu created laws which were best suited for that time.. Hence all criticism of Manu is motivated. Why don't you criticize Indian constitution which has been amended 93 times?? All laws need to change and so will Manu Smriti.. He infact has prescribed higher punishment for Brahmins!! so why this nonsense comments. the OBCS are not suppressed people, they were KINGS - so were the Moghuls .. they were kings - why should they be given reservations?? this is plain exploitation. In order to exploit the society all the political parties require a whipping boys - whom everyone can hate - Brahmins fulfill this need.. and hence people are able to getaway by continuosly insulting brahmins.. this is not fair. So now await the next generation of Brahmins who will become rowdies ... Please check as to who is harassing SCs and STs - it is always the BCs, OBCs .. never the brahmins!! So all this empty claim of social justice is a grand fraud.

You are just repeating anti-hindu communist ideas. The brahmins were the first to be killed when raided by invading muslim army. They were the first to refuse to convert and lose their lives, while other fearful converted. Brahmins saved our scriptures, manuscripts of ancient wisdom, yoga, tantra, dhyana, ayurveda, astrology etc., risking their lives. They remained poor while others owned lands. Brahmins led the fight for independence while others were praising foreign rulers palying games with them. Brahmins stuck to hard study when other communities got political power. They retained descipline when reservation deprived them lively hood, and temples were taken over by Governments and others became management trusties. Now when they have education and brains, reservationists want quota in private sector. Don`t be mistaken, I am a shudra, but never treated badly by any brahmin, now am a lawyer due to the guidance I got from various brahmin teachers. Brahmins were the most wronged people.

your comments nothing short of naiveness !!! all the things blabbered by you are sermons of satans such as Nayakar... who vehemently opposed casteism, but never gave his caste surname, who advocated women empowerment, but married a "Teen Girl"... who opposed Brahmanism, but had secret friendship with Brahmins !!! who proclaimed ramayana is folk story, but celebrated Ravana leela !!!! a man full of contradictions !!!! those satanic verses are re-telecast by another "Saithan"....

Gujarat was a well developed state even before Modi came to power. Oil and Natural Gas production in the coast lines of Gujarat started in the late 60's/early 70's. In the same way, Surat has been in the forefront of Diamont cutting (not production - India does not produce Diamonds) and export for the several decades. How can Modi take credit for this? If at all, credit should go to the policies of Congress Government in the centre during the 60's/70's. You are trying to twist history.

It is time to reverse roles, Brahmins have taken lot of tensions (for good or bad), NOW it is time for Dalits to come to front.
Vote BSP, vote Dalits and have Dalit PM. USA has aborginal/Afro, it is time for india to have an Real Aborginal.
Vote Not the fakes like Paswan, Lallo, etc.
Brahmins need to chill out and take backseat and Brahmins also need to be given reservation to chill out. Brahmins have faught long enough (for a cause that never ends), it is time for them to chill out, make/take money and relax on beach. They will be called again once they have relaxed enough.

you can vote for paswan if you like...I am talking realism, not hypothesis, read my other post about Jati
Everyone should first have a right to be employed at least equal to minimum wages i.e. Rs.100 per day approx. The purpose of reservation was to lift the needy and downtrodden, but the benefit is being taken by only those whose parents and grandparents got it earlier. Today not even 10% of needy ST/ST are benefitted. Poverty is a curse, after 60 years of independence, all this happening is a shame for politicians.
Re: Reservation
by chennailawyer on Apr 01, 2009 10:19 AM
I agree with you.. only sons of IAS, IPS officers and sons of well-off politicians and others are getting benefit out of reservation policy .... no the needy !!!
Whatever a learned person does, the world follows. Brahmins are brahmins b/c of their higher spiritual/docile nature. But they also have developed high ego, and other negative characteristics in themselves and that led to their downfall. The thing is, when Brahmins were targeting Govt Jobs, they have become the choice of the other communities. When Brahmins went for Software jobs, they became the most sought after jobs. The trend continues.

the reservations shuldnt be on the base of religion, caste or tribes. it should be only on the basis of the three earning catagories, low income group, middile income group and higher income group. capatilism shall be shreded out and all farm lands shall be nationalised to become a super power.
