TRUTH IS ALWAYS BITTER. IT WILL BE MORE BITTER FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO ENJOY LIFE AT OTHERS COST BY WAY OF BEING A RESERVERD GROUP. CALLING PEOPLE WHO THIK PRACTICALLY AND CORRECTLY ARE ALWAYS MISUNDERSTOOD AS "JOKER" . ONE SHOULD HAVE A UNBISED MIND SET TO ANALISE SUCH ISSUES TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL JOKERS.
No one should be allowed to use caste as surname. Use or misuse of surname at any place or in any phase of life should be termed as crime and proper punishment for the same must be given. No one should be given reservation on the basis of caste. Central and state government should render full support to the children of poor people and provide excellent education in the best possible colleges. Although this is a daydream, as politicians and leaders of some of the opportunistic communities of India would agree with the idea. ,

We need RESERVATIONS in following: by Jas on Mar 31, 2009 02:45 PM Permalink | Hide replies
1. Indians should get reservations in OLYMPICS. 25% of all Medals should be given to us. 2. Indians should get reservations at HARVARD, STANFORD and OXFORD. 3. Indians should get reservations in International Flights.
Why? Because WE ARE BEGGARS. We like to get everything for FREE. We like to make excuses like my forefarthers were differentiated against - BUT we will refuse to work hard.

You have superficial knowledge of social injustice and appropriate intervention strategies by a welfare state. When people are so much obsessed with their high caste what do you expect. You won't let lower caste men sit along side with you even if he has money in his pocket. Reservation is to solve a social issue and not an economic issue. How many of us agree to get their sons and daughters married to a low caste boy or girl. If you start doing that there will be no 'PURE' thing and every one would be equal. If you can't do that then stop writing here as reservation is going to continue and nothing can be done about it. Lets not waste time on this.
It is more than 60 years since we attained our independence but we still have reservation - why? Who are the beneficiaries of reservation in the last 60 years? I have no objection to reservation in educational institutions so that even the children of the down-trodden can come up in life. But to give jobs on the basis of caste is nothing but encouring mediocrity and compromise on quality. Even more when even senior positions in government departments, police, judiciary etc. are reserved.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Muslims should be banned or it should be replaced with resevations for Brahmin and they should be allocated work whicha acaully the are capable of! Their bosses should be Bramhin

Why? All brahmins are born with a golden spoon is it? if yes, then why are they begging for reservation at par with SC, ST & BC? Why do they require reservations when they regard themselves as the upper caste? why dont they try n come up with their own merit?

why dont "u" come up with ur own merrit. read the full article. it says 95% ppl in tamil nadu enjoy some kind of reservation. only the brahmins dont enjoy it. why??? are the SC/ STs born with "golden spoon"??? why do u require reservation in jobs and even in promotions??? tit for tat, ok?? and we dont call ourselves upper caste. it is ur favourite politicians who gave us these names. dont talk abt our fore fathers..it may have happened. but we are not responsible for it.

lower caste can not come into merit unless reservation is provided. they expect everything in free and dont want to do hard work. brahmins has always proved themselves.
i agree with Mr.S.Vee.Shekar for reservation of brahminin entire country .the middle call brahmin in all state of india is very poor.the reservation for other cast in employment has created loss of job for brahmin. it will be great if it is implanted soon not merly talk for political gain.

In UP, among Brahmins, Giri, Goswami and Mahapatra are very much getting reservation under OBC category. Similarly, some or the other sub-castes of Brahmins or Kshatriya are getting reservation benefits in almost 11 states.
AS MOST OF THE BRAHMINS ARE WELL EDUCATED & CLEVER IN EDUCATION,THERE IS NO NEED FOR THEM TO ASK FOR ANY RESERVATIONS IN CENTRAL OR STATE GOVT. JOBS.BECOS ONCE THEY GET QUALIFIED BY SCORING HIGH PERCENTAGE OF MARKS,AUTOMATICALLY IT COMPANIES & OTHER HIGH POSITION JOBS WILL WAIT TO OFFER US THE JOBS.
YOU CAN SEE MOST OF THE INDIAN IT PROFESSIONALS WORKING IN U.S IT COMPANIES & NASA ARE FROM BRAHMIN COMMUNITY ONLY.
YOU CAN SEE THE BRAHMINS PERFORMANCE IN ALL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.ALL OF THEM SCORE ABOVE 80% IN CORE SUBJECTS. EVEN IN IIT ALSO, WE ARE THE FIRST.
TAKE FAMOUS SCIENTISTS & MATHEMATICIANS LIKE SIR C.V.RAMAN & SRINIVASA RAMANUJA IYENGAR. BOTH OF THEM ARE BRAHMINS ONLY.

Not all brahmins are c v raman or s ramanujam. There are poor brahmins and they should get at least reservation in educational institutions to complete their education since education in private institutions have become very costly and are slipping out of the middle income brahmins\' hands
