Brahmins do not need reservation. I am a Brahmin and am proud to be one. I am a businessman and would want all the Brahmins to be involved in some business. For thousands of years Brahmins have been the chief advisors of the kings and rulers and now of big business houses. It is time Brahmins act in their own interest and shine in business and profession. Giving reservation will make the whole Bramin community lame and in need of crutches. We do not want crutches, we can move ahead on our own. Being Brahmin or Kshatriya or other castes is old history. We need not stick to it. In today's world everything has changed - so why a so called 'upper caste' person having a leather goods factory is not called 'Chamaar' (Charmkaar in Sanskrit) or a Brahmin like me doing business is not called a 'Vaishya'? We must change the old thinking and leave the 'Caste system' to corrupt politicians who want to create their vote bank.

No one should be allowed to use caste as surname. Use or misuse of surname at any place or in any phase of life should be termed as crime and proper punishment for the same must be given. No one should be given reservation on the basis of caste. Central and state government should render full support to the children of poor people and provide excellent education in the best possible colleges. Although this is a daydream, as politicians and leaders of some of the opportunistic communities of India would not be agreed with the idea.

Hay-for thousands of years-you have extracted essence-from rulers.. You were crafty enough to even destroy/or modify ancient Dravidian history-to suit your needs; Yes.. for thousands of years you were superiors but by oppressing others.. You were cunning enough to divide the magnanimus..peaceloving Dravidians in the name of castes.. and thus making your space much bigger and seccured.. You misguided emporers by blackmailing in the name of God.. and asking him to cater your needs!! Even you have gone to the extend of serving colorful-white skined girls to kings.. to make them dance or sing before kings to fill your granery!! So-its time to revisit history!! Good-I appreciate Mr. S Ve Sekhar for seeking this 7%-as there are few poor brahmins as well.. few good hearts as well in TN. So let them also enjoy the benefits of reservation. The time that brahmins were considered as paramount has gone-you people enjoy all benefits of government.. and after getting studies in IIM/IITs-you migrate to UK and USA-not bothered about the motherland.. Despite of this, you are against earmarking minimum 27% in primere institutions.. GOOD - YOU SHOULD SAY NO RESERVATIONS FOR BRAHMINS IN SUCH INSTITUTES AS WELL! Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Muslims should be banned or it should be replaced with resevations for Brahmin and they should be allocated work whicha acaully the are capable of! Their bosses should be Bramhin

I suggest total reservation should be scraped for the past 62 years reservations are there on cast/religion base which should be scrapped enough is enough no more reservations on cast base in general and religion base in particular. Scrap reservations so that automatically vote bank politics will be vanished
Dear Friends See how the bhramins have fared without any reservations. they are brillant and too good and Govt fears that if given reservations these bhramins will fly and capture the world. In a convention some months ago A K ANthony Defense min for Centre had been to a convention and remarked seeing the lack of vehicles outside the hall (2 cars and some scooters) that whenever he goes to other so called low caste conventions a huge lot of vehicles can be seen outside and this shows the bhramins are poor. But there is no good person in politics who can uphold their reservations. SO the bhramins dont need reservations.

First ask bhramins to allow low cast people inside temple then you come and ask for reservation.
If Karuna support this surly he will loss his major vote bank

Well said Anand, Leave him, he is not even aware that the temples are under Govt's control(atleast in TN, as am aware) except for Chidambaram Temple and not Under any brahmin's control

Who was congress? until Sonia.. all crafty brahmins.. so-it was to extract benefit out of reservations and to enjoy pleasure of politics-they could have adopted this strategy!!

I do agree with you. Do you aware of rules, how to change surname? I have already changed once from Mishra to Pandey after my marriage. I cannot change my surname second time, as per the existing rules.
