Where are the voiceless
by abhishek anand on Apr 01, 2009 10:45 AM

Upper caste people are strong and powerful and have a voice. Dalits, the marginalized and oppressed are voiceless. See how many people from upper caste are speaking here against the vocieless dalits.

Shekar ..do not play double game
by MANI IYER on Apr 01, 2009 10:44 AM

You are a seasoned politician.
When Sankaracharya was arrested ( now the case is getting proved as a false case )
SV shekar started playing "Sthuthi" on jayalalitha, that what ever Amma did should be right. Atleast he should have told "No comments". That time Amma was so sweet to him & now amma has become bitter. Even if we are politician let us have some diginity when we comment.

Ban all reservations
by Suresh on Apr 01, 2009 10:43 AM

Instead of giving again and again to different community, Please think on banning all the reservation and consider all as Indian only. Then only this country is called as secular country. Dirty politicians are divided all Indians based on caste, still they are saying that India is a secular country. Big shame

Reservation should be subject to Financial Condition not to Cast
by Rajesh Panda on Apr 01, 2009 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

Reservation is weapons for the people who have nothing in them, but want to archive everything, so I urge the Brahmin's not to demand reservation for them because because If u are right and intellegent person you can create you own world and let other to follow you.

Reservation should be for Defiance person, the sport person and all for those who have sacrifice their life or serve their whole life for INDIA.

Know Tamil Nadu Politics
by arun raj on Apr 01, 2009 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

In Tamil Nadu, DMK, AIADMK, DMDK and PMK are all anti-brahmin parties. Their foremost ideology is anti-brahmins. Dravidian movement was started was started in 1916 (justice party) to 1944 (DK started).. Even though AIADMK leader is Brahmin, she is the one who arrest the famous kanchi saint....

To be frank, the ambition of Dravidian movement is to crush brahmins.. becuase Brahmins are aryans they came from some central asia... and we the real people of TN are dravidians... you cant get even 1% quota for brahmin in Tamil Nadu and neither in India...

Pls.. I am not against brahmin.. This is the fact... you like or not... I don't know about other states of India... First know the history of TN Politics and comment on it....

Think logical...

Before jumping to conclusions, let us not forget history.
kanchi saint arrest was falsfied case, which is getting proved now. Your so called "Dravidian" leaders cannot give justice, so it is shifted to next state ( Union territiry). This was passed by Supreme court.

If you see the history there was Dravidians & Aryans. The problems with tamilians is they are easily carried away by effective speakers like tamil politicians.
Karunanidhi is against Hindus, but when it comes to his house, he will invite sai baba his son stalin & his wife will go to temple. If you come to Mylapore, you can Mrs. Karunanidhi every week at a temple. Better know reality & then write article.

Temple is common to all hindu.. not for brahmin's alone... I am talking about pary ideology... you are talking about the ideoloy of single person..

Dravidian movement have its root from Anna and Periyar... not from Karunanithi...

Officially in India there are no hierarchy. But if you want to punish today's brahmins for their ancestors, then how can you claim moral high that you seem to stand for? There were many things that got changed in the course of time. Today all have equal opportunity. Helping all to acquire skills to reach higher position in society is important. Not reach higher position in society through short cuts. If brahmins were not intelligent, you wouldnt see them in any of the posts. The fact that they are surviving today amidst all marginalizations itself is a proof of their intelligence.

Reservations should be based on financial status, not castes. This will help the people who are unable to offer education which ultimately leads to the improvement of society!

Reservation for Brahmins
by vikash kumar on Apr 01, 2009 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

I think people who are economically backward must be given equal opportunity to progress educationally and financially. It should be free from any boundry of castes and religion.I have seen so many persons who are financially stronger than their peers, but still getting ahead riding cycle of reservation. So,it gives consequential damage to the mental and emotional health of fellow forward caste but poor students.
Hope our modern day young generation will pay attention to the slowly getting sordid condtion of economically weak students of forward castes and demand for equal representation of entire social fabric of india.
