Please give them a chance!
by susheel kulkarni on Apr 01, 2009 11:21 AM  | Hide replies

Its a high time that BCCI should give fair chance to the minority Muslims , Christians, Catholics, Buddhists, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Casts, Other Backward Class, Nomadic Tribes, Gurrillas, Naxalists, Maoists, Gujjars, Minas, etc, so that they won't remain socially backward by not representing themselves into indian cricket team.
Give them a FAIR chance in INDIAN cricket team on pro-rata basis, so that no one should feel socially, mentally, psychologically, physically or emotionally backward in this already "BACKWARD" country.

Caste
by PANKAJ CHAVAN on Apr 01, 2009 11:20 AM

Don’t think all Hindus were toturing lower caste in olden days. Caste system has not come because you are born in a particular caste. It is due to the work adopted by your family. There were some social ethics. Afterwards work got vanished but caste remained . Due to not understanding of the matter Hindus developed many misunderstandings. Now there is change in society. So we should be united as Hindus not caste based or biradari based.

Mr Nagaraj saab

Yes agree- You led in practicing discrimination of lower castes; you led in showing mini apartheid against less colourful people, you led in creating ` sanitised' places among the living environment away from lower castes, , you led in refusing those not yr ` caste' the benifit of drinking water from wells or at least you will not draw water from the same well, off course you will lead in not having food next to have nots or dalits & YOU LEAD THE WAY TO CARVE OUT FOR BRAHMINS A ` JEWISH' STYLE SUPERIORITY the Jews tried out in EUROPE before world war II. Yes times are catching up for you to stop leading others from now. And see your tone of blog.... leading everone from farming to IT.. who the hell U think U are... Others need to catch up & hence we have reservations... Iyer saar or whatever your title !!

Re: Re: Deserved clan

such a stupid thing. Brahmins never forced anyone in TN. Dont compare with violent brahmins outside of TN.

In TN, Dalits did not have the capability to do anything other than toilet cleaning. One brahmin leader adopted a village and ran a school for poor dalits. Within one month 90% of them dropped out and took up fishing. They thought that is more profitable than being educated. How can you blame brahmins for this?

Several brahmin institutions are continuing to help Dalits in TN that even other castes dont do. Why blame brahmins? Why dont you take up toilet cleaning / removing dead bodies and let a Dalit come up in life? You can only preach and curse brahmins but dont do anything urself in the upliftment of the Dalits. The reason is you guys are non brahmin but superior to Dalits. You are the ones who supress dalits not brahmins.

If a Dalit truly gets educated by learning, if he pursues true spritiuality instead of barking like a dog and demanding reservation and wasting life, we Brahmins will only be happy. Because it will mean a progressive India, which Brahmins along with all other hardworking castes have been trying to achieve sans reservation...get our of this murky thinking mate!

dear prabakar

i am a brahmin and i fully support the reservations for sc/st as it will enocurage them to go places.

but let us understand that there are 1000s of jobs and seats that have not been filled up by the authorities because no one bothers about sc/ct -- they are only vote catching baits.EVEN THE MINISTERS WHO ARE INCHARGE OF BACKWARD CLASSES GO UN ACCOUNTABLE FOR PERFORMANCES.
thus the govt in centre and states hardly care for the sc/ct.

let us understand that even brahmins are citizens of this country and desrever equal opportunity. go and the see the priests of tamilnadu temples and see the abject poverty they live in. see the prohits who struggle to eek a living. hence economically poor barahmins surely deserve to be supported.

And I for one am already planning to support a poor Brahmin family with their child's education at least financially. Because I am sure Indian policies /Govt / consitution, etc with thugs at the helm wont ever include poor Brahmins and their upliftment on the agenda. We dont need any help from anyone. We will come up by God's grace!!!Because we know th Supreme being helps those who help themselves. Not keep waiting like Dalits for help from non existing messiahs (read politicians)
