Brahmins - the motive force of a super-power!
by Chakravarthy Muralidhar on Apr 01, 2009 11:26 AM  | Hide replies

Demonisation of Brahmins was the brainwave of the colonialists - the British, French, Dutch, Spanish and the Portuguese. Waves after waves of missionaries failed to convert even a small percentage. The British then came up with the idea of writing history and sociology of our society in the guise of an academic research which was doctored to favour the cause of christian missionaries. This is how the Aryan Invasion theory and such other bogus unscientific distortions were infused.Subsequently the British sneaked in their theory of Brahmin's atrocities against others in order to break the great psychological hold this community had on Indian society due to its high thinking and simple living. The present day Asuras (DMK,DK,etc) and Shudras (CPM,CPI,JeM,etc)are using it to mismanage and misgovern the state and central govts in India now.

Without Brahmin power there would have been no Pokhran,Fast Breeder Reactor,Chandrayaan or any of the landmarks and technological goals. All this has been achieved despite the insults and deprivations the community (constituting less than 3% of the population)has suffered.Brahmins have been at the forefront of societal reforms,Independence struggle and nation building all along.Without Brahmin power India can never be a super power. Brahmins are the vital motive force for the nation to achieve Super power status.Unless the Asura and shudra politicians realise this the nation will never come up in the commity of nations!

Why should we have reservations at all... ??
by Jayant Joshi on Apr 01, 2009 11:25 AM

Why we should have reservation systems at all ? I strongly believe that only economically backward class reservations need to be in place instead of cast and community based. If you have strong desire to storm through medium of education then all other factors are very minor. Get ( i would rather say EARN) an ability to stand out in front of any one and you shall get best in the world. Using such articles dnt try to promote or start discussion of community or caste based differentiation. THOESE DAYS ARE OVER LONG BACK !!!

Please give them a fair chance!
by susheel kulkarni on Apr 01, 2009 11:25 AM  | Hide replies

Its a high time that BCCI should give fair chance to the minority Muslims , Christians, Catholics, Buddhists, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Casts, Other Backward Class, Nomadic Tribes, Gurrillas, Naxalists, Maoists, Gujjars, Minas, etc, so that they won't remain socially backward by not representing themselves into indian cricket team.
Give them a FAIR chance in INDIAN cricket team on pro-rata basis, so that no one should feel socially, mentally, psychologically, physically or emotionally backward in this already "BACKWARD" country.

select them on the basis of cast

if they will take 2 runs count it 4 if boundry five them 2 runs and for 6 give them 6 for motivation

If they will loose then announce it as winner because their presence is atmost important this is just for motivation

TN Poltics

Nice human being who definetely do not deserve to be in poltics!! Do we need Gandhi [Mahatma] nowadays. Ask any young person what does he thinks about Gandhi. Mr Sekhar's revealatioin about social works have been the major cause of his success and embrassment for the AIDMK Superemo! Nobody can be up above her and we have watched people touching her feet. Where is the place for Mr Sekhar who cann't touch her feet! He has taken right decision to quit the party and now should work for upliftment of poorest of the poor and for that if joining the poltical party is a compulsion than he should be ver choosy.

People like Mr Sekhar are most UNWANTED man in our Indian Poltics and my sincere advise to Mr Sekhar is to avoid all party and just concentrate on his constituency. He does not require any poltical umbrella and his work will speak through votes.

Reservation for Brahmin is not bad idea. However instead of asking reservation for each caste, Govt should make reservation for all community and certain seats should be reserved for all castes and employment should be given to the advertised vacancy for that particular caste only. However, there should be no reservation for further promotion once a person has been appointed. Further promotion should be based on competence and seniority only.

I belong to Haryana and you will be surprised that I have yet to make OBC cert for self, my children and everyone has got whatever they are in my family based on their qualification and ability. Mr Despande there should be reservation for your community as well because once there is reservation for each and every community than there will be no one to complaint against each otherwise I have seen in my 48 years of life that people without having any basic knoledge have been promoted to higher post whereas those who are senior, well educated, competent do not get the promotion. You will find numerious examples in Govt Offices wherein two person employed on same day got their turn for next promotion based on their caste. The SC/ST candidates becomes Section Officer whereas the other one hardly reaches at UDC, Asst level only. That is why I have asked that reservation should be given to each caste and there should be no reservation for further promotion.

By adopting this practice there will be no complaint from any quarter as the person will get his job based on the reservation for his community.

Further, earlier we have witnessed that a particular community has grown so fast because there men were there at all level and have done favour for their caste only.

There is no end to any discussion and as I have said person like Mr Sekhar will never find any taker for himself because we are living in a society which lives in hatered world.

This is the problem of today's society. The so called backward class want to remain backward forever and get all the benefits while more are waiting to be called themselves backward! How can the expect respect from the society when they paint themselves such a way? India will be a country full of people who call them backward in another 50 years! Each Indian will fight to claim who is more backward than the other!

Let the Brahmins get reservation
by RaviSelvan CheyyurRam on Apr 01, 2009 11:23 AM  | Hide replies

I belongs to Shed Caste. I think its good to give reservation to Brahmins. We follow up reservation system to give all the opportunities of govtment to all the category of people. Equivality to all the people. So its not good to denying the same thing, to particular category people for more than 50 years.

Genesis of Reservation
by abhishek anand on Apr 01, 2009 11:22 AM

It started not only to uplift the voiceless and to check the exploitation of upper castes (So called, which i doubt)it also started because the firmly in place on the seat of importance were these so called upper caste and they never allowed deserving candidates from lower caste to sit next to them.

There is a simple solution to stop the process of reservation. Stop casteism, marry intercaste. In 50 years it should mitigate the filth of ages. If you have guts....

Remember Ekalava. He was low caste. He was denied education(he wanted to learn bow and arrow.) Then he learned on his own and outperformed Arjuna. Then what happened to him finally ? In this country even if low caste come ontop they wont be spared ! Thats the truth.

Reservation should be completely eliminated, though who have talents irrespective of religion, caste should be promoted and utilitised. Even Dr. Amendkar when he made legislation, he mentioned that reservation is only for few years but even after 60 years of independence, it has not been eliminated

When people are so much obsessed with their high caste what do you expect. You won't let lower caste men sit along side with you even if he has money in his pocket. Reservation is to solve a social issue and not an economic issue.

If that is the case, do you expect reservation to solve the issue? "...sit along side with you even if he has money in his pocket" - By this are you trying to say reservation is not serving any purpose? What are you trying to state here?
