PAkis are not formally banned from participating in IPL. it is the decision taken by PCB to not to send their players to IPL when it was scheduled to be played in India. PCB did rethink their decision latteron once IPL was declared to take place in South Africa but by that time it was too late to enter in IPL-2

Change in team, nothing else. Players like, Ganguly to be through out. I hope, they would drop him in the next match.

IPL Kolkatta
by sk singhal on May 12, 2009 04:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why to tolerate racial remarks against Indian Players? WHy to pay so high match fee to these undesired foreign players.

Mr Shahrukh should understand the mindset of these so called coatches. Ganguly is much much better than otehrs

But Ponting should be interested in playing IPL first. The good thing about his not playing is that the confusion in KKR camp is reduced to a great extent, else Buchanan would have suggested a few more options to experiment to SRK.

mumbai can still make it
by Vishwanathan Anand on May 12, 2009 03:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

mumbai can still make it-

If they defeat Punjab today they move upto 4th place, after that its only abt winning 2/3 for them (b'coz of good net runrate)

No, I don't think so, Mumbai has 9 points. So they must win next 4 games to reach semi. Else with 15 points no run rate can help them in reaching the semis.
