The media and "know-all" among the public are out to push out the best cricketers that the country has ever produced. If the trend continues maybe Dravid, Tendulkar, Lakshman and Kumble may also retire soon. That would be the end of the good performance by India in test matches. Where are the replacements? A Rohit Sharma, who has two centuries in first class cricket? A Yuvaraj Singh, who has got 23 test matches so far and still hasn't done any thing of worth, Mohd Kaif? Just because the youngsters won a 20-20 world cup, it doesn't make them great cricketers. May be we have a good keeper in Dhoni, a few good young medium pacers, but none of the "YounG and upcoming" batsmen can even today can match the so called "poor performance" of the seniors. Where is the leggie to replace Kumble?? Just see how they performed against a New Zealand A team in India - 100 all out!! Imagine what the same bunch would do in New Zealand?!
this is Start of End Of fav 4 . ganguly was the oldest ,,so naturally he was first in line....i guess In Next 2-3 Years ..i see all four into Retirement for good....as Dhoni said they shudn,t be forced into retirement on single day..Else we Might end up in situation like where currently Austrlia IS ..no Doubt Youngsters needs to be groomed and besy option is to groom them under the FAV 4.

who is bugger dhoni to comment what records does he have only a twenty twenty win and a handul of win in matches.Let him match up to saurav as captain or even kapil, gavaskar or even azhar first then he should comment.
Let him have that platfoem before commenting idiot
All the fabs will quit soon.. but the Master Batsman Sachin will continue his breath even after dhoni's era. Sachin makes every new thing new recors, he makes Dhoni a first wicket keeper as a captian.. and who knows he will make Ishant as a Captian after Dhoni's flop and Sachin will continue playing under Ishant or Gauti or some new fellow who will critize Sachin's form.. haaaaaaaaaaaa
I am proud of Saurav for taking this decision to retire from Cricket. Let this decision reduce pressure on him and he make big hundreds this time agaist Aus. I want saurav to go on high note.
current generation is foolish and not aggressive like saurav. look at sreesanth or harbhajan they are immature still need those strong hormones of saurav to stand up in a mature way respectably.
go to school ,get tips from seniors --present team and keep up the good work.

SACHIN WILL ALSO PLAY WITH HIS SON WHO IS JUST I THINK 9 YEARS OLD AND NOT FAR.
It is true that its beginning of end of Fab 4. Everybody has to go sooner or later, but anyone who makes an hobourable exit is good. At the same time it is also correct that there is no right replacement to Fab 4 but time will fill the gap. P.J.Joshi

Necessity is the mother of invention. Can't identify replacements if others don't get a chance. These guys fail more often than succeed now a days. They should not wait to be thrown out. I hope Sriks and Co will have the guts to think about the future than care about who will feel bad. Younger team losing and learning than an experienced lot getting more experience that is going down the history books anyway.
