What is the future of Ajit Agarkar
by Chaliya on May 30, 2008 05:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think Dhobi is following the policy of
a. less than age 30 players
b. no senior icons allowed like ganguly or dravid

once he starts losing, it will all come to haunt him..also look at the number of players from UP getting the nod...he surely is biased towards the bhai*ya heartland.

every selector bows down to the captain's whims in the end. it is clear from the selections seen for last 3 tours that dhobi does not want senior players and players aged above 30. such nonsensical things of ignoring senior players can happen only in india.

hit because of whom? senior players. tell me one odi series he won with no senior players in it. even pak series at home was won because of sachin. i just wish they select no seniors for a tough series and his au-kat is exposed.

Why do you think they are taking Dhoni, Uthappa, Yuvi?
:-)
Their records were seriously damaged in the Aussie tour, so Sachin very broad mindedly let them go to Bangla, coz where else will those poor souls get a chance to make a few runs?

As for Sachin he'll get fit and battle with the Aussies again when they come to India... After all that great legend needs some challenges in life... not some fuddu like Bangla... where the Uthappas and Yuvis can go do a song and dance..

:-)

Same hoopla and tamasha was done before the squad left for Australia...

The great Yuvi and the great Dhoni performed sensational ballet dances in the Test matches... The great 20-20 team castled in for 70 something runs at Melbourne..

CB series was again being played fantastically by the unspent forces which are going to Bangladesh to beat their chests.. :-)

You are right.. your are tired of spent forces.. Your problem is that you don't know which ones they actually are.. ;-)

Janardhan:

2 month back series may be history for you. For others that is performance.
Sure, if Gavaskar, Bedi, Kapil, Pataudi or even Maharaja of Viajaipur has played successfully in a series 2 months back, tell me, I will join you in your demand of calling them in the national team..

Poor selection
by Balasubramaniam R on May 30, 2008 05:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ishant Sharma needs rest he looked jaded in the IOL matches. Preveen Kr seems bored the way he was playing for Banglore RC, did not show proper attitude and should have been dropped seems to be a favourite of Dhoni. They should have given opportunities to Gony and Yo Mahesh. Players like Shikar Dhavan should have been given an opprotunity by resting a senior player like sehwag, yuvraj, Ghambir or Robin.

ridiculous selection again
by vox populi on May 30, 2008 05:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

vengsarkar is a mental case--if current form is any indication how come the likes of uthappa and yuvraj figure in the list? Assuming the great tendiya had commanded that he wanted to play whom would they have dropped? Again Dinesh Karthik gets a raw deal as also manoj tiwari.
Vengsarkar is nothing but PA of tendulkar.

Dhoni has got the right team as he is an intelligent fellow playing for Chennai Super .This was actually the type of team under Dravid, Greg Chappel vouched for to play in WC2007 but was denied . I am happy that atleast now they have realised the mistake
