This is a real team effort, Dravid , tendulkar, sehwag, pathan , kumble all contributed by ball and bat. This victory again proved that cricket is a team game and Tendulkar or dravid or kumble can not do anything alone. well done men in blue. keep it up. area of concern - jaffar, dhoni (in batting).

dada missed out. he did not do wele this match. he did good batting in the first 2 though which really surprised me

premraja what is your score in test matches ?? stand in front of the mirror and think whether u are allowed to talk about Saurav or any other player .....
RE:Everyone contributed
by premraja on Jan 19, 2008 04:00 PM
DHoni has improved his keeping. he did make a crucial contribution in the second innings> the problem is he has set high standards for himself which is really not coming to display withbatting inAustralia

I think prince of kolkatta have done enough contibution for a year now...highest run maker of india...
I have always written here that Sehwag should be taken to Aussie tour. He has proved himself today. fairly decent score, two wickets esp gilchirst and also adving Kumble.
RE:sewhag
by execute on Jan 19, 2008 03:59 PM
today definately he proved, but he is very reckless sometime and specially in test cricket u should be very cautious.
Thanks to Billy Bowden's crooked finger and Asad Rauf, Team India manage to stop the Aussies' winning streak. Two Australian batsmen, Hussey and Symonds were not out. Where are those idiots who made a hue and cry about cricket being a gentleman's game. HAd these decisions gone against India, the umpiring issue would have been the only issue to talk about.
RE:RE:Australia - World Champs
by Ariel Katz on Jan 19, 2008 04:05 PM
Today, what mattered was Symonds and Hussey. They were going on well. HAd they played their normal game, the messsages on this site would have been totally different. Hope you will agree?

You like all white men think 'Injustice cannot be done to us only". Other races has to suffer injustice. How many times you aussies have cheated and won thru Bucknor. Shame on u to nag like this. You shameless cry baby.

Worst comments...You join the ICC ELITEST panel...Shame on Bucknor indeed...you imbecile fellow...try and see if you can spot an LBW...100% sure u wont see it even in replay...u will call out when batsman hits the ball for four.....

What normal game,They are just survining on your corrupt umpiring practices. Symonds is good for wood cutting Hussey for fishing.

I dont think there is a ban on australians to make a hue and cry. Anyways on record India lost the Sydney test and Australia lost the Perth test.

That's right. Ultimately the statistics will only speak about the runs. Spoke sensibly. Hope others follow suit. Instead of talking about each and every decision. Adelaide will be a different story, I promise.

jal rahi hai kya tumhari.. yaaad rakho Bhagwan sab dekhte hai.. ye sab Sydney ke Pap ka badla hai.. Ariel Katz, go and cry for whole night on India's well deserved victory. Chaddi Singh and Sweet Mango and all Ganguly, Dravid and Sachin bashers, go and research whole night to find out Ganguly's faults. We Indians will enjoy and only enjoy on India's victory.

I dont cry for such defeats. Because the Aussies are truly world champs. One defeat does not alter the situation. We win only once in a blue moon, anyway.

by anurag Kushwaha on Jan 19, 2008 04:04 PM
Aussies were claiming to win within three days then what happen? There are only two decisions were given against Australia. In Sydeny 7 Decisions were given against India. So thats make 5 are left , wait in Adelaide.... Indians will crush Austrailians ....

Shame on u man. U Aussies have won by hook and crook so many times. Lets do it correctly now.

If India wins umpiring is not an issue or for that matter nothing is an issue. It looks this country is going a bit too overboard with cricket. Let us wait and watch what happens at Adelaide Oval.

What I want to tell you is cheaters and rougues will be humbled in the end how much ever talented they are. You have cheated and disgraced whole cricketing world with ur team's behaviour and partial Bucknor umpire. Now take what u deserve.

same umpires who gave sachin and dhoni out when they too were not out ? in 2 years time when hayden ponting and hussey are gone home loss will become familiar to aussies the sun is setting on the convict empire

Not so much. I enjoyed the ninth wicket stand which very nearly threatened to dash India's hopes.

This is an unfair comment. Hussey was out as per the umpire's assessment of the bounce, the same way Tendulkar and Dhoni were given out. If Hawk Eye is to be relied on then Hussey was clearly out much earlier in the innings, lbw to RP.

Youe eye is what - Squint eye -----To hell with the Hawk eyes and technology in Sports....Lets try to get back to some Golden Era like the Mighty Lloyd led Windies....
All matches are fixed. Next match is going to be draw. This win was to win the hearts of all Indian fans. The cricket boards are fixing the matches as they fear competition from organisations like ICL's, Indian Hockey Federation etc....

what about Tendulkar? Everybody knew that since Tendulkar has not contributed with the bat we are going to win.Do not blame anybody celebrate the win.It is team effort.
RE:Dada
by ami on Jan 19, 2008 04:03 PM
yup absolutely...i think so it is high time they dropped tendulkar(he didnt play in second innings) dravid(he didnt play in first) kumble (not bowling good in second innings) and of course drop dhoni for not batting good in first...drop zaheer for not being fit... is this the way you want the team to be ???
RE:Dada
by Aniruddha Mukherjee on Jan 19, 2008 04:01 PM
I think at that time u were watching Soccar....Dada ws the key player who inspired the entire team for all the wins abroad...
It was gr8 to watch the battle between Ishant Sharma & Ricky.....after a long time we saw Ricky was unable to play Ishant and a fear in his face.....i liked that . but one thing that India should do, is to change their Body Language . On the 4th day it was hard to beleive the Body Language of indian players....they were very calm & quite as field...they must talk to each other frequently to keep the pressure on the other team...Dhoni , Pathan were the exceptins... WIN INDIA WIN.....congrats India....
