Aussies could have never been an appropriate reply(slap in the face) than this victory, for all the misbehaviour and malpratices in sydney. But even in this victory they were victorious in behaviour and gamesmenship,Ponting should recognise that cricket is not a game of only victory but of character and gentlemenship that is why even after so many losses,it has strong following in INDIA. Hats off to KUMBLE and CO and even to Aussis who changed themselves so quickly.

so now after your master's defeat, grapes are sour. People like you and ASHISH will always be loyal to your master's.

ya matches are always fixed as if you dont have fixed date time and planning, its difficult to make a schedule
I really pity those skeptics who perdicted that India will miserably lose the series and that Indians will not be able to play Tait or Lee. Indians fears pacemen and can not tackle bouncers etc. Where are those people gone, who can not enjoy India winning games? Where are those who call themselves as Indian but stay away when one should celebrate.
Team india has definately won a good test match but they are no match for the incredible winning streaks of 16 test matches by austarlia.it is no dobut a celebration time for team india coz they have won just a test match against australia after 5 long years. It was not surprising to see kumble jumping like a kid coz it has become a habit for team india nad the indian media to present them as god after winning a test match. But the moment they are back to their loosing habits the media and the indian fans show their true colours.Let me remind u all that india has not won the test series infact they have lost the chance to win border and gavaskar trophy by loosing 2 matches and god knows what will happen in the last test match and the ODI series.STOP behaving as if india has never won a test match. There is nothing to celebrate until and unless india wins the ODI series.

Wasym , Your comments tell quite a lot of things about you.First , that you're one ignorant chauvinist who probably doesn't like India (and your ignorance is infact reflected in your grammar and spellings) Secondly , you're probably a Pakistani. Third , that you don't understand Cricket or you really haven't been following the Pre-Match Incidents (Racist Allegations and stuff). This Victory is not just an ordinary Victory. It's great because no one gave India a chance before the match. It's great because No Team has beaten Australia at Perth since 1997.It's great because teams from Sub-Continent has ever beaten Australia at Perth. It's great because this Pitch was Tailor-Made for Australia. Go look at what Australian Newspapers had to say before the match started. The alacrity , passion and character this team has shown makes it a great victory. But alas , some pecksniffians like you live such a low-life that you have to come up with comments like those just to seek some attention. It's just not "ANOTHER VICTORY".It's special. Why not celebrate? Honestly , We don't about "critics" like yourself (who are no different from Aussie-Media).

thanx mr.english honors for ur valuable comments. If u think that just winning a test match against austrlia is enough for the rest of the series,,,then fine celebrate. But that will do no good to the team india. As for being a indian or a pakistani i dont need to prove to the people who are communal by birth and believes that every muslim inthe world are pakistani.U have a very poor knowledge mr. english honors.

I do not need any certificate from you about what I am! I am currently enjoying India's win and your crap doesn't bother me in anyway.

Wasym.........go to sleep! It is unfortunate for you that the Aussies have lost but it's just that our Team India has played well enough to defeat their winning streak! It happens in life. Try and take things in your stride!

RE:whats there to celebrate
by wasym on Jan 19, 2008 05:41 PM
well then i guess team india is only good enough to break the winning streaks...thats it. win a test sereis against australia that will prove that u r the world champions.

by SAMRAT ROYCHOWDHURY on Jan 19, 2008 05:47 PM
Keep your big sayings to yourself...........you are not an Aussie anyway! Talk about your own cricket playing nation! Whether we are world champions or not is none of your business and I do not feel inclined in anyway to oblige you with any answers of this kind. Go and spend your time on something fruitful...........

So when would you celebrate? when India loses!! I think you are not an Indian by any chance. We donot have any reason to agree to such foolish comments from people like you.

people who celebrates on just wining a test match goes to show how foolish they are.as for being an inidian i dont need to prove it to the people who are communal by birth.

Cut your bogus porky-pie and indulge in foolish statements elsewhere! We are celebrating today and it does not matter what you think or say!

hey what the hell are you saying man.beating australia in australia and that too by a big margin of 72 runs is not a easy thing after what all happened in sydney test..we have given a tit for tat message to the aussies...and this is what indian team and whole india should celebrate...and i am also sur that india will definately beat aussies in the coming test match to draw the series which they did earlier...itsindeed a time for raising high..
RE:whats there to celebrate
by wasym on Jan 19, 2008 05:58 PM
its fine that india won the test match and gave it back to australia for their behaviour but all i m saying is that we should celebrate only when we win the ODI series

Come on folks! Lets end this crap. He's just too stupid to be arguing with.He doesn't even understand the ethics of the game."people like u are just happy being 2nd.ranking is nothing unless u win a series against australia." I mean what kind of statement is that? We aren't talkinf about Adelaide yet , are we? But this Imbecile just won't stop coming up with facetious comments.

Dear Wasym, Please tell what you know about cricket. Dont think you are master of cricket or leader of nation to give a comment. 16 wins of Aussies are not on Team India. Its on all world nations. India break this record of Aussies for the second consecutive time. Also India is not a world champion. India beat world champion. Atleast India beat Aussies once in three matches which other nations cant do even once in 5 matches. So you would have understood why to celbrate the sweet moment. Read recent Ashses history since 10 years and then come back to comment. Also please dont answer my reply as I dont want to hear fom a person who is an Indian and having such negative feels on a positive win. Dont forget that a WIN will boost your morale and it will lead you to further wins. So this win shall motivate the team to celebrate and go a head. FANS will of course enjoy this moment. Why people should not celebrate when they dont loose???????? Your health and heart beat will be better if you enjoy or celebrate a win. Dont sit infront of your PC and weep for everything. Be positive.

Yah...ur right.Thats why India is ranked 3rd and propably will be 2nd in ICC ranking after this series.
Fools talk without Knowledge and the limited knowledge they have can me judged as pure non-sense.
RE:RE:whats there to celebrate
by wasym on Jan 19, 2008 05:49 PM
people like u are just happy being 2nd.ranking is nothing unless u win a series against australia.
In these columns I have written several times to include Irfan and Sehwag, if we wish to demilish Aussies. Along with Balaji (not well), Rahul and Laxman, Irfan and Sehwag had shattered Aussies during 2003-04 series. Bret Lee was dropped then from the team. But these two FINDS found no place in the team, thanks to the blindness of BCCI and its selectors. When Aussies lost three players (Two field umpires third umpire, India gained two extra players (Alrounder Sehwag and Irfan)to defeat Australia. No team in the world will ever drop Sehwag and Irfan, but Indian selectors will surely do. They have already killed Md Kaif and Suresh Raina. In any case, it is a great day for India as a nation. We need such great days, more often to celebrate. We congratulate our heroes.
