congrads on keeping the composure
by krishnan on Jan 19, 2008 06:41 PM  | Hide replies

Well Yesterday evening and today morning two lbw decisions that would have hit the stumps went in Pontings favour and the feeling of helplessness could have easily come in. You have to commend the team to keep its composure and not let the sydney experience to come back in their mind. Later they got some favourable decision in terms of Symonds (high time he gets the other side of the coin) and Hussey and it evened out.
The thing to appreciate here is that Ponting did not bring those issues out in the post match conference till now.
If sydney match had not been practically fixed by the umpires - man we could have seen a series of a lifetime. I bet Australia would have come all guns blazing in Adelade.
Congrads to India too to turn a bad series in terms of umpiring and sledging into a decent one.

No!!!he had already advised some"bad tasteinthe mouth" indian players to take umpiring decisions as they come and not demand umpire change.,after the SydneySyndrome. He now cannot complain of a similar bad taste because it is his own domestic taste.,lest it is termed PerthParanoia,of the OZ.

It's hilarious to see you all getting so excited about 1 win in a dead rubber.

Try 16 in a row, something India will never ever achieve or come close to.

It's sad, you all care so much for so little.

I agree it is a bit hilarious. But consider the fact that Australia is one of the best teams in the world. May be they are the best cricket team that existed till now. And the Indian team is not really that great. But still they beat the Australians on their own soil - a feat that hardly any team has done in the recent past.

What is even sadder is you dont have the grace in defeat! I thought for a fan whose team won 16 in a row would b more forthcoming in a single defeat but apparantely not!

BREAKING NEWS: To resurrect their record of 17 successive test wins, asstralian board has entered into an agreement with BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) and ZCB (Zimbabwe Cricket Board) for 10 match test series each. And they have been instructed by all asstralian fans ( especially an idiot who calls himself an asstralian by the name of Chris, and one paki who posts his comments by the name of asshish) to make sure they do not encounter India, South Africa or England in the interim.

Bangladesh series and Zimbabwe series to be played on home basis only and Bucknor and Benson to officiate to avoid any chance of disruption of 17 to 20 successive wins.

India is the only team which has troubled Aussies in the recent past including the 20/20 WC. Also the revenge is sweeter since the winning strak of the Aussies stopped,( it should be 15 on trot not 16 since the last one was farce)all prematch media hype was proved wrong ( about chin music and Tait) and third the Aussies were given a slap on their egos. well done India. (do u still want more reasons to celebrate??)

good one vikas !!! the way asstralians cheat, manipulate icc and manipulate umpiring decisions it is surprising they colud win only 16. With so much help form icc and umpires, even bangladesh can defeat asstralia 16 times in a row
