For One decision against Sri Lankan (sangakara), entire Asia cried. Again for a few mistakes made by Buckner entire Asia (including Gavaskar, Akram, Kumble etc.) cried. Look what Kumble said when India lost Sydney. Ponting & Co. did not give any excuses. They could have cried like Gavaskar & Kumble on following decisions -
Dravid LBW (twice) notout umpires
Laxman LBW (twice) not out umpires
Ponting out of a noball - umpire
Symonds LBW with bat - umpire
Hussey Hipps Before wicket out - umpire
But Ponting prefered to give credit to india's spirited performance. If opponents benefitted - Cry. If we benefitted - all them human errors (infact ignore them ) & say "the game was played within the spirits of the game.

I think asian commentators are putting pressure on ICC. If buckner was punished, why let Rauf off?

Team for Adelaide
by Patriot on Jan 19, 2008 07:13 PM  | Hide replies

Hi my Team for Adelaide will be only two changes,
replace jaffer with Karthik(only for this particular match) and Dhoni with Bhajji. If we want to draw the match ,current team is ok,but we want to level the series.so that why 5 bowling strategy.

Sehwag
Karthik
Rahul
sachin
sourav
VVS
Irfan
Anil
Bhajji
RP
Ishant

with this team,if india win the toss and again bat first, karthik plays for an hour or two and makes 40 ,then middle order puts in strong position and make 600 and thrash AUS

Dhoni has been excellent behind the stumps so far in the series. I think, India should remove Zafar, and ask Irfan to open with Shewag and bring Bhajji back in the team

Brave Effort Team India!!!!!
by on Jan 19, 2008 07:13 PM

India yet again came in the way of Australians who were looking to register their 17th consecutive Test Match win. Registering an emphatic 72 %u2013 run victory on the fourth day of the Perth Test, the Indian Team put up an exemplary performance to deny Aussies for the second time to win 17 Tests in a row. For the Indians it was a test of their character after all that happened in the second Test Match at Sydney.
Some facts to be noted are:
1)India became the only team from the Subcontinent to beat Australia in Perth.
2)Australia lost a Test Match after three years.
3)West Indies were the only team that beat Australia in Perth in 1985-86.
Similar kind of interesting facts will be covered in %u2018Learn English Through Cricket%u2019 will be launched shortly which is one among the largest theme based English Learning programs. %u2018Learn English Through Love and Romance%u2019 is one among the series which covers 22,000 example sentences and over 2000 illustrations and pronunciations. Kudos to the Indian Team and hope that they put up the same performance at Adelaide.

Chin Music
by indira on Jan 19, 2008 07:12 PM  | Hide replies

Before this match, there was a lot of talk about Indians would be facing Chin music from Tait and they will be defeated within 3 days in the Aussie media. But India had the last laugh. Tait's bowling wasn't music but a whimper. On the other hand Ponting faced chin music from a 19yr old called Ishant Sharma. The 1hr tussle between him and Ponting has been praised by the commentators as the best peroid in the match.

BCCI should approach ICC to annul the second test due to many unfavourable decisions against India, as is being done in Olympics some times.
