India was tremendous in this match. Ausralia was struggling even our best batsman Ponting was playing like a pathetic against 18 year boy Ishant. I wonder why Australis won those last 16 test. Hats off to India!!

Umpiring & Commentators
by Western Securities on Jan 19, 2008 07:22 PM  | Hide replies

For One decision against Sri Lankan (sangakara), entire Asia cried. Again for a few mistakes made by Buckner entire Asia (including Gavaskar, Akram, Kumble etc.) cried. Look what Kumble said when India lost Sydney. Ponting & Co. did not give any excuses. They could have cried like Gavaskar & Kumble on following decisions -
Dravid LBW (twice) notout umpires
Laxman LBW (twice) not out umpires
Ponting out of a noball - umpire
Symonds LBW with bat - umpire
Hussey Hipps Before wicket out - umpire
But Ponting prefered to give credit to india's spirited performance. If opponents benefitted - Cry. If we benefitted - all them human errors (infact ignore them ) & say "the game was played within the spirits of the game.

I think asian commentators are putting pressure on ICC. If buckner was punished, why let Rauf off?

What about Sachin's and Dhoni's LBWs int he 1st innings? They were clearly not out. We didn't claim catches that we didn't take and also didn't claim a cactch when there wasn't a nick. Again it was Ponting who said after the Sydney test that umpires' decisions should be taken as they were and shouldn't ask for umpire's head.

Sachin - Not out in first innings
Dhoni- Not out in 1st Innings
Ponting - Out many times in the 2nd innings
Symonds: More than anytrhing else he deserves it.

Australia always cries and whines to win the match. But this time India's performance and umpiring was spotless.
Australia has to accept the defeat.

Please point out ( If any?? ), any nicks which were not given out. Indians never false claimed grassed catches. Are you reading this? It is quite obvious, even clark accepted that he stood there though he knew that he nicked with bat. Symonds did accepted that ke knew that he nicked the ball. So now decide who were playing with the spirit of the game. Many australian sportsperson raised their voice against behaviour of aussie player.

india should teach lessons
by anusuya krishnamoorthi on Jan 19, 2008 07:21 PM

it is high time that we indians should know how to revolt and the most surprising is the fact that mr symonds tells openly that only friends can use any language which even if it is racist language and how did he comment like that which means indians are not friends and if we are not friends, then are we enemies.
