RE:RE:India should withdraw the tour.!!!

For One decision against Sri Lankan (sangakara), entire Asia cried. Again for a few mistakes made by Buckner entire Asia (including Gavaskar, Akram, Kumble etc.) cried. Look what Kumble said when India lost Sydney. Ponting & Co. did not give any excuses. They could have cried like Gavaskar & Kumble on following decisions - Dravid LBW (twice) notout umpires Laxman LBW (twice) not out umpires Ponting out of a noball - umpire Symonds LBW with bat - umpire Hussey Hipps Before wicket out - umpire But Ponting prefered to give credit to india's spirited performance. If opponents benefitted - Cry. If we benefitted - Call them human errors (infact ignore them ) & say "the game was played within the spirits of the game.
I think asian commentators are putting pressure on ICC. If buckner was punished, why let Rauf off?

How about then Sachin being given out in the first innings in the same fashion as Hussey by the same umpire Rauf? Also Hussey and Ponting were out LBW earlier according to the same Hawk-eye - so the decisions pretty much evened out which wasn't the case in Sydney.

arpan....but those bad decisions came at crucial time of the match...if hussy n symonds wouldnt have given out...it would have been 3-0..

by Serious Cricket on Jan 19, 2008 07:43 PM
hey paki...
Yes agreed they did get a bad decisions but don't forget... Sachin and Dhoni got similar decisions and at that point Sachin was on 70 well on way to his 39'th century. And am not going to talk about the LBW decisions that went against Ind when Ponting was facing Ishant... NOW GUYS DONT CRY AND ACCEPT THE DEFEAT. Its 2 bad decisions against 2 unlike in Sydney where it was 9 to 1.

There were not only 2 decisions (LBWs of Hussey & Symonds) But on the first day - atleast 5 LBW decisions were denied, Dravid & Laxman looked like plumb on many occasions. The point is just due to this credit can not be taken away from India , why everybody was crying in sydney? why ruined Australia's win? can any other team in the world win 16 in a row? that too twice. Can World 11 or India win 5 ina row? No. Infact this run just began may well end in Adelade

LOL so you take pride in ending Australia's world record winning streaks by winning 1 test. And Australia take pride in winning 16 tests in a row and setting world records.
Yeah that about sums up the HUGE difference between the 2 sides.
There is someone in the message whining so much about Australia as world beaters and something like that...Let's have a look (let's say) from 01-01-01 onwards:
1. AUS are world beaters in 50-50 ... that is accepted hands down! They have beaten all and at all places at some point or the other! But beware NZ washed them royally 3-0 and Eng too defeated them 2-0 in last VB series, so there are some signs
2. Test Match Cricket ... No AUS are not world beaters ... India is part of the world and I request someone to put head -to-head record of Ind-Aus since 01-01-01!!! AUS is not all over India here and can't be called Champions !! As simple as that! So Stop whining
3. 20-20 Matches : No comments , I dont have to say anything there! India just rocks there , comparing India with some country in T20s will be an insult to the greats at the moment
RE:It may be 16 in a row, but what is the record against India?
by chris on Jan 19, 2008 07:47 PM
LOL grasp at straws much.
1) Lost to NZ without our captain playing a single match. Lost to England before the world cup in a meaningless series end.
2) Lol this is great. We beat you in India when you were at full strength. The best you could do was draw against us WITHOUT Warne and Mcgrath for over half the matches, and rain saved you. And we've already won this series here. Simple as this, Australia are the greatest, India should feel honored they are allowed on the same pitch.
3) LOL @ 20-20, yeah that matters to anyone except Indians so starved of victory they'll take kindergarten cricket wins.
RE:It may be 16 in a row, but what is the record against India?
by arpan nigam on Jan 19, 2008 08:03 PM
OK, lets analyze your replies: 1) When your captain is not there, you intent it's not a full strength side, so 3-0 drubbing doesn't matter !!! Alright! Losing finals to Eng is meaningless!! Alright... Though these are not traits on CHAMPIONS..
2) Ha! Ha! You talking about full strength sides !! How easily you use 'circumstances' in your favor? Well, put the stats if you have ... if I remember correctly, Ind-Aus should be neck-to-neck in wins and losses
3) CHAMPIONS should win KinderGarten matches, don't they ??? Ok, let me say Atleast KinderGarten matches
RE:It may be 16 in a row, but what is the record against India?
by chris on Jan 19, 2008 07:50 PM
You are absolutely right. Australian team is poor so they do not practice. All they cn do is try to win by whining and crying or with help of umppires like "Buck"nor.
RE:It may be 16 in a row, but what is the record against India?
by SR on Jan 19, 2008 07:55 PM
Don't be in a hurry mate. There is still one test match to go. Australia hasn't won the series yet.
FIRST OF ALL INDIA SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON THEIR NEXT TEST. FORMER AUSSIEE GREAT WICKET KEEPER MR. RODNEY MARSH HAD MADE A COMMENT, SAYING INDIANS WILL NEVER WIN A TEST MATCH IN AUSTRAILIA. WE HAVE PROVED TO YOU MR. RODNEY MARSH.
RE:FOR INDIA ...

because the 'whole of India' arn't the authority on whether test results get annulled or not, they are the authority on being poor and aids, nothing more.

India is the only team which has troubled Aussies in the recent past including the 20/20 WC. Also the revenge is sweeter since the winning strak of the Aussies stopped,( it should be 15 on trot not 16 since the last one was farce)all prematch media hype was proved wrong ( about chin music and Tait) and third the Aussies were given a slap on their egos. well done India. (do u still want more reasons to celebrate??)

RE:FOR INDIA ...

LOL Cos you can't set them. Only the great Australians, the greatest cricketing nation ranked number 1 can do that. India can lick their shoes tho.

Hey Chris, Why australia lost this test :: 1. No umpires on payroll 2. Could not stifle bowlers with "racist" sticker 3. Had to play the game in its right spirit :-)
