Tanveer Zamane
Kumble the Champion
by Tanveer Zamane on Jan 19, 2008 07:47 PM

This Victory should be dedicated to one & Only Kumble. He was simply fantastic. When entire austrailia, curator, the cricket's great expert miss-read the pitch, any sensible person would have chosen to field first. But Kumble is not only sensible he is master of aggression and positivity and believer in the team strenght. He knows three facts
1) India can not chase targets
2) India's Batting specially in first innings is their main strenght
3) He is big threat for ausies in 4th Inning
He backed the Team strenghts, backed himself, backed his team mates, listened to his team mates advice, was standing behind his team mates when they were in crisis.....This was indeed a gift from the team to him

That is what experience is all about. He hasnt got 600 wickets for nothing. He is the only bowler playing in this century, who has got all 10 wickets in an inings. For which you have to be intelligent, accurate & consistent, have stamina & some luck too as your mates need to help you by not taking wickets at the other end.
In Perth to beat Aus. is like beating Lloyd's WI @ Barbados, which no team could do.
Kubmle & Dravid are those unlucky who wrere deprived of their true place One is at par with Tendulkar & othwer @ par with Warne & Murali
