Revised target/ from A. Sattar/ Mumbai

Dhoni there is a saying if you cant dance dont blame the dancing floor it is not good or it is not in a proper shape. Dhoni your captaincy and yuvraj vice captaincy and your batting abilities are gone now as you have become actors of sharukh khan industry, he making you dance on his tunes and you are dancing, you have forgotten that you are cricketors and also you chasing deepika not the cricket performance, so it will be better resign and give chances to other players who are in the que. you have earned a lot in advertisements and sharukh is there to give role in films nothing to worry. dont spoil the name of cricket. its shame for yuvi scoring 30 runs in how many matches, now the Air of ballons gone come to senses. I request BCCI to bring back Kaif and Ganguly, prithvi patel and show the way to dhoni and yuvi. now its enough you cannot play the with indian nerves anymore.also tandulkar, harbachan singh watch it you are also in the same boat with your Cap/V.Cap , becareful.

LAME EXCUSE
by jawed khan on Feb 12, 2008 08:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

dhoni is making lame excuses. india should have scored more than 200 to have a chance. lankans can taclke indian boling well then aussies. our openers didnt take risk

RE:LAME EXCUSE
by Indian on Feb 13, 2008 08:44 AM  Permalink
No. Lankans can't handle our bowling better than Aussies.
Its the shortened match because of which Lankans could take those risks. They would have played differently if it was a 50 over match. Remember them playing against Aussies recently?
Did they play this way?
No.
And they wouldn't have, if they were playing India BUT instead of 21 overs it was 50 or 29 overs.
This is the difference, and the fact that their risks paid off. Including the pathetic shot Dilshan played against Sreesanth in his second spell, which just plopped on the rope, inches away from Ishant's stretching fingers. If that was caught, there wouldn't have been this 48 runs in 3 overs stuff going around.
So relax, and enjoy the upcoming contests.. :-)

I am suspecting match fixing
by Kaushik Pal on Feb 12, 2008 08:07 PM  Permalink

The dropping of Sourav has always been coinciding with the match fixing. The way these guys played and then was pretty happy about the loss showed something amiss. SL is a poor team. But to bring in interest into the game (SL back into reckoning) I strongly suspect the match was fixed. If India won SL was OUT of tourney. Poor fielding was more due to intent having already won against Australia and less due to ground conditions as nobody got injured while fielding with nations pride in mind.

Avoid Style

Sreesanth should concentrate on bowling and not on the style(passion) of bowling

Yeah, the same way the so called 50 over World Cup champs succumbed in a 50 over match.
:-)
Sorry, not a 50 over match. A 43 over match.. :-). I just remembered they couldn't play for 50 overs, and threw in the towel in 43 overs... :-)

They were making the followers a victim of match fixing. Todays match was fixed. How can a fast bowler give 48 runs in 24 balls in Australia? what is the punishment for match fixing?

Dhoni blames revised target for defeat
by Rangan NN on Feb 12, 2008 08:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Dhoni admit yourself the openers were very slow. They scored in two overs only one run. Though Dhoni did not blame Shreesanth, however, India lost due to sheesanth due to his erratic blowing.

Make up your mind Rangan whether it was due to our opening batsmen, or our opening bowlers..
:-)
It was plain simple THAT DAY mate... it happens to any team. Things just didn't work out for us. And anything that the Lankans attempted, just came off.
Period.
Relax. And enjoy the future matches.

Dhoni is not a good captain

If he says he did not know how SL reached 50 before he could see then he is a bad captain and sleeping wicket keeper

Unfortunately once an over is started, you can't change the bowler Kaushik.
So if you play 3 overs for 40, it's literally in no time, and you don't know how that happened.
Understand that.

Rules should be revised
by raghvendra singh on Feb 12, 2008 07:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Apart from reducing the number of runs to be scored in reduced number of overs, the number of wickets should also be reduced accordingly.

I agree. In 20-20 matches also this poor Indian team minus stars won as they had 10 wickets for 20 overs which inflated their batting performance in the T20 world cup.
