Yes I 2 agree in some of the facts as mentioned by yu. Indian Cricket gone to extend N no.of opportunities to North indian when compared to rest of india. I dont think north indians is not rulling the india. They are good for their region not for entire nation. better BCCI should consider and rearrange as per the caliber of entire india including South & other easteren states

Mr. Chanchal:
This was NOT a 20-20 type situation.
It BECAME a 20-20 type situation. Both are different.
Indians didn't know upfront that this is going to be a 20-20 match. They didn't score at a rate meant for 20-20.
If you start a 50 over match, and after one inning is over, ask the first team to bowl out the other in 20 overs, can they do it?
NO.
That's it. Whether you want to believe it or not.
Cheers.

All cricketers, BCCI and the fanatic cricket public do the same. Only excuses when they loose. They will never improve and behave in a civilised way.

Ganguly's Equation
by Alex Powell on Feb 12, 2008 08:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sorry Guys, this is out of context but I want to share my Thesis with you guys...its on Ganguly's equation.
Ganguly scores "X" runs in a match playing "Y" number of balls, where "Y" is always greater than "X". Then while fielding he leaks "Z" amount of runs. So the Ganguly equation is Effective runs is equal to X minus Z (Now a days it is coming negative)
Balls wasted in a match is equal to Y minus (X minus Z )
Indian Team minus Ganguly is equal to Chances of winning are multiplied by 2

by rationalize on Feb 12, 2008 08:58 PM  Permalink
But your Y hasn't scored any runs and he is fielding on the boundary and taking a space of potential play Y raise to the power Z so what does your equation says now. G atleast scored X runs which were the highest among the team.

Dhoni experiments are replication of chappels
by ban on Feb 12, 2008 08:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

After getting good start by openers Rohit and Gambhirs inexperience of not scoring fast as less than twenty overs were remaining and 8 wickets in hand. They were playing for them self to settle in the team. They scored just 59 runs of 60 balls.
80-90 runs of 60 balls can had mad a different score of 220-230 runs
Yuvi needs fix batting place at 3 or 4 no use of yuvi at 6.
Robin was the other choice he was waste at 7 no otherwise play with extra bowler
Dhoni experiments are replication of chappels, which end till we lost the world cup.
Dhoni is writing the same script.

Only difference is Chappel was kicked out despite performing best of his ability plus he has the best record ever by any coach for Rubbish Team India!

Vice-versa Dhoni is big mouth, total non-performer, most over-hyped, most over-rated cricketer in world cricket today!

dhoni stop complaining...
by Karthik on Feb 12, 2008 08:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The fact even for 29 overs game 195 is not adequate..And even though we hail Rohit,Gambhir..their strike rate is not enough as they wasted a lot of balls initially.. People have to realise that the youngsters aren't performing that good than the well mixed team we had earlier.

Not the youngsters. It is the imposter Sahwag who is the culprit. He consumes overs in getting set and then gets out without any significant contribution. He should b replaced by Ganguly or Parthiv immediately

Fully agree with. Some people are obsessed with anti-Ganguly but they don't realize that last few games we have won because of our bowling. Batting is a big concern. Suresh Raina in place of YV and Ganguly in place of Sehwag.

Dhoni disappoints
by Ashish Kumar on Feb 12, 2008 08:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

hv always admired Dhoni but today I feel he disappointed. To my mind he committed the following mistakes:
1. Knowing that the match is rain curtailed, he shd hv played with 5 bowlers by including Pravin Kumar;
2. Knowing the strengths of Jaisuriya, he should hv opened with Irfan and Ishant. I think Pravin Kumar, being the kind of bowler he is (incisively accurate inswingers), would have been able to check Jaisuriya;
3. Dhoni did not plan for a tight T20 match. 155 runs in 21 overs is nothing but a tight T20 match.
I hope Dhoni has taken his lessons. I feel Yuvi shd b sent back and Ganguly called up for opening. Sahwag is repeatedly flattering to deceive.
