Hello Youngstarts!
by Arockyam on Feb 12, 2008 04:09 PM  Permalink

Hellow Youngstars,
As urged by Dhoni, go and play for lifetime, no matter if u couldn't score or become successful. Dhoni, you go on to be the captain of these youngstars for lifetime. Don't bother what people say.

Better luck next time
by Debrup Bhattacharjee on Feb 12, 2008 04:08 PM  Permalink

Both teams played well, but Sri Lanka was a better team today and won. No big deal. There are still 2 matches to play with each team so there is a very positive chance of doing well. All the best for the remaining matches.

I don't know whether it would be fair to drop Yuvraj (we went gaga not so long back when he hit those sixes) but I feel a chance should be provided to Suresh Raina just to see how he adjusts to the situation.

Stop the Blame Game
by Ramanujam Srivathsan on Feb 12, 2008 04:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Dhoni - Please stop the blame game & learn to accept the fact that Lankans played well & planned their chase well, stop blaming..our bowling was only average today..the way sreeshanth got belted by Jayasuriya was murderous & i'm sure that would have tamed him & learn to bowl line & length

If Srilanka batted first & india were to bat second, it's for anybody's guess...we would have chased down the target in 15 overs. As the overs become less (with wickets being same i.e., 10), chasing becomes dead easy! Dhoni was spot on Sir, you cannot blame him :)

WHENVER THE Play AFFECTEED, JUST REDUCING THE RUNS AND OVERS IS ALONE NOT PROPER.
YOU MUST ALSO REDUCE THE NUMBER of BATSMEN OF THE CHASING TEAM IN SOME PROPORTION, THAT PUTS THE APPROPRIATE PRESSURE ON THE TEAM THAT IS CHASING.

Can't make out this stupid D/L method
by Saths on Feb 12, 2008 04:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Well if we played with only 21 overs from the start India would have scored more. They were playing a 29over game so they had to consolidate in the middle before they accelerated. This method is becoming more confusing by the day. I thought the target would be in the 180 range but when I saw 154 the match was over. This is ridiculous method of calculating targets. ICC should revisit this. And I blame Mr Sreesanth for this loss. I don't know when this guy will learn to be patient and start bowling to his strengths than just trying to intimidate the batsman with his antics. And the fielding of this so called young team was pathetic. They were lazy and just looked to be thinking about their girl friends and what car to buy when they return home.

Dhoni is most over-rated and over-hyped cricketer in world cricket today! He knows how to speak nothing else! When it comes to performing for team he runs after Deepika Padukone and gets wet!
