Dhoni, next time don't give any justification for losing ..
by RajneeshChandraMohan Jain on Feb 12, 2008 04:58 PM  Permalink

It only makes you look bad.
Next time take responsibility for losses. That is the sign of the leader.

Dhoni plan your innings
by venkataramana pydimarry on Feb 12, 2008 04:57 PM  Permalink

after all the ground was small and the chasing side will have a definite advantage after the revised target in 21 overs and they can plan and play accordingly. If the fielding do not adjust to the circumstances we may have to hope to lose matches like this only. History says that INDIA do not have better luck than this in truncated matches

Dismal performance from India
by Sriram S on Feb 12, 2008 04:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The bowlers looked totally useless except for Bhajji who was very consistent and as usual excellent. Ishant looked better compared to the rest of the lot. All others were bowling the same kind of balls pitching in the same areas which Sri Lankans seemed to smash to the fence. Every ball was bowled as if inviting the Lankans to smash for Four. At least it should be a lesson if you get hit one or two times and you change the style of bowling - bowl a bouncer or a yorker - or the slow one - change the line - mix it all up - none of these was attempted. The only variety in the bowling was the wides on either side of the wicket - special thanks to Sachin who came on to bowl as though just woken from sleep.

Indians were certainly not playing for India to win. If so, it was for Sri Lankan's win!
Was this match fixed, by the way?!!

Yes, it is match fixing, similar to the last match between India vs Australia.

Cmon Dhoni
by suresh on Feb 12, 2008 04:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It has become a habit for India not to accept Defeat without blaming anybody. In Sydney tests, they blamed bad umpiring decisions (they forgot that they lost 3 wickets in 2 mins). Now today, they are blaming rain. Dhoni, do u think u can restrict SL to less than 195 in 29 overs particularly after the wonderful start. Jayasuriya will always play like this whether they case 400 or 200 or 20 overs match, so it doesnt make any difference for him. Stop blaming others, accept defeat and try to improve in the coming matches. Drop Yuvi and include Deepika, everybody will play well (especially dhoni himself).

Dhoni will keep on scoring and scoring and scoring after that.
He needs motivation (Deepika).

Comment on Sachin is cheat
by vineet kumar on Feb 12, 2008 04:53 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Like to discuss with Pradeep malik, ryan ans raj...why is he cheat..Sachina nd other Indian generally go when they are out generally..but playing against cheaters austrialians is a totally diffrent story also when they have cheated recently...Punter blamed Mumbai pitch when they lost..then why India didnt blamed umpiring and fast pitched before 2003-04??? ...therfore everything is fair in love and war..this series is nor love, neither cricket its war...and to win against Austrial is always a pleasure..therefore enjoy rather crictising..we have faced a lot in past..now its time to give back..the same thing Srilanka did in mid 90's .they played without any sportsman spirit..and they became world champs..same is with Austrial as well...why not Scahin and India

by ganesh shyam on Feb 12, 2008 04:51 PM  Permalink

Our graph always fluctuates bcoz we depend more on batsmen making the mistake & our team is never consistent...history proves...Till the last ball we r never sure of winning..see last match 89for2 & suddenly 102 for 5...Ha Ha

I agree with you totally.the way the bowlers got clobbered even 220-230 would have been chased. god knows why is he still persisting with yuvraj who has misfired on the tour till date. he should only be played in India.

by Dkapil Sharma on Feb 12, 2008 04:49 PM  Permalink

though sri lanka scored 155 in 19 overs, they can never score 200 in 29 overs.

because dhoni had saved his best strategy for last 10 overs.

--hehe he thinks everyone is a fool.--

Sreesanth - reason for defeat
by shrinath raju on Feb 12, 2008 04:48 PM  Permalink

Captain Dhoni, If you think, the statistics of S Sreesanth 3-0-48-0-1-2-16.00 is good in a revised game of 29 overs, than u dont deserve to be in that seat. Sreesanth does not have brains. Kick him out
