Dear All

As we are giving the maximum money to ICC, why ICC is behaving like a step father's attitude,so BCCI has to raise his sound agianst them in concern with respect of the players & pride of the nation.,.....

Mr. Arun,

Are you not ashamed of your comments ? Irrespective of whether Indian team is selfish or not (which is your personal opinion) at least they are represnting the country . Should we not support them . In future please desist from making such remarks .

Why are you making an allegation like that? If have reasons to call them selfish than it will be prudent.
Can you defend yourself for what you are saying? Else it is another case of sour grapes who do not like the success of the Indian cricket players.

ICC is harsh to Indian players
by govardhan on Jun 13, 2006 02:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi ICC is very harsh to many Indian players. Its not that only in current series...even if we go past..there are cases like Ganguly getting penalized and where as when Australia visisted India in 1996-97 series...Slater took the catch of Rahul Dravid and he shouted at Dravid to leave the field. The same thing happened to Dhoni with Lara in current series. My question why the ICC thinks harsh when it comes to India. What is the reason. It will be great,If I get the reason.

It is nothing but our own making. First of all Dhoni should not have walked off the field. He should have told Lara to sort it out with the Umpires not with him. Second, Dravid should not have let Lara go off the hook. He should have informed, if not complain, to the match referee.

What is wrong with us? Are we naive not to understand that BCCI will not so much as raise a finger about the Antiga Test incident. Why is BCCI so rich? By not raising its fingers. Honour of the country and player has taken back seat. It will keep mum. Lara is a big man and Bennet King is talking rubbish. Dave Richardson is serving the ICC so don't expect any straightforward answer or action from him. The other day Navjot Singh Sindhu said, ICC is impotent. Is there any doubt?

Answer to your question is cowards and weak will not get justice in this world. Why Rahul Dravid is keeping quiet when Lara shouted on Dhoni? On contrary Sehawag is fined for 20% match fees? what is it? You will get the things or treatment you desrve. If Indians keep qiet and accept it then really they desrve such kind tratment.

What good will it do if you get the reason? Indian cricket team is a group of selfish people and who cares whether ICC is harsh with them or not.

Since the Indian team could have complained about Lara's incident, it is surprising they didn't once they knew that the umpires were keeping quiet. The umpires clearly wanted no action because they would be in trouble for having taken 15 minutes and not deciding. Just keeping quiet when Lara acted so badly is amazing and show that the Indians are afraid of speaking up even when right. Ganguly would surely have not behaved this way.

Arun,

Why is the Indian team a selfish team? And is they are, what has that got to do with the ICC being unfair. If you are not interested in cricket, you should not waste your time and energy typing messages.

I agree that ICC makes biased decisions. Shewag's incident is the latest example. On the contrary Lara was let off without any action being taken against him. But Collin's is a fair decision i feel. He was warned for not appealing (celebrating a wicket before umpire has given a decision). I think if he repeats the same mistake again, then he should be fined.

How can u make such a foolish comment just on based of an assumption , Have u been there to dressing room or u know board and players closely ,i think if u are in such level as internation cricketers they are bound to be bit more praticle then normal humans so it sounds as such , grow up and then comment .

biased decisions of ICC referees
by shashidhar on Jun 13, 2006 02:01 PM  Permalink

From the beginning the ICC referees are against Asian players whether it is india, Pakistan and Srilanka. It is hightime that the Boards of these three nations voice their opinion together against ICC referee decisions. Otherwise, this biased decisions are going to continue.

The way Brian Behaved on field in the case of Dhoni and umpires left the decision on players than we really need umpires onthe field is that a question if they cant take decisions in these circumstances and the way Lara behaved really its didnt looks good for a player like him.

Match Referee against India
by R Z Kumar on Jun 13, 2006 02:00 PM  Permalink

The problem lies with us Indians: we are only too willing to take any nonsense from foreigners, irrespective of whether their skin is white, black or yellow.

When Lara "advised" Dhoni to walk off, Dhoni should have asked Lara to take a walk! Why couldn't Dhoni's speech be half as swashbuckling as his batting?

double standards in ICC
by Anil on Jun 13, 2006 01:57 PM  Permalink

sir,
such injustice will continue with subcontinent players as long as our own boards r guttless. They r not strong enough to take up justified cases of our players. The ICC had no guts to warn Lara because they r affraid of windies reaction but they know the subcontinent boards &/or people will just protest & forget. Some office bearer will declare that 'in the larger interests of the game, we have decided to close the issue 'etc etc.
our boards & people both r responsible for this.
