Match Referee against India...............
by Sanjay Naphade on Jun 13, 2006 02:14 PM  Permalink

As per my opinion ,

Yes, Match referee was against India in this Series.

Firstly, Lara was let off after not respect the umpire and tries to angur on Dhoni and on umpire.

Secondly, Pedro Collins behaviour aganist Laxman dismisal.

and unfortunately Sehwag was fined.

I will ask you , Match referee was sliping at that point of time.

This is partiality on Indian side.

ICC Chief has to take matter and make transperacy on rules and regulations.

Jeff crowe is just qualified to be India's next coach.
Remember once Greg chappel cast racist remarks against a touring Indian side in the 80's?

What a servile Nation even after 59 yrs of Independence!!!

It's always the case

Though indians contribute highest to ICC's kitty, no representation from indian side. It is always like this. Definitely in this case Lara should have been punished, clearly his actions can be seen on TV. Benefit of doubt should be given to batsmen, then why show dissent at that. certainly somebody has to standup and ask questions.

Poor quality of umpiring
by Jay on Jun 13, 2006 02:06 PM  Permalink

The umpiring quality on the current tour is poor. It is tentative and suffers from poor judgement. The third umpire sitting in the box is adding to the woes. Consistency is a far cry. Besides, this West Indies tour is different; the current Windies team bears no resemblance to the genlemanly sides they were in the 70s, 80s or the 90s. The Worrell and Walsh legacy is long forgotten. Lara is leading this decline from the front.

Match refereees are against India
by A.N. Rao on Jun 13, 2006 02:05 PM  Permalink

Any one viewing the west Indies vs India matches, can easily conclude that referees are partial and are in favor of West Indies and against India. Simple example is fining Sehwag and leaving Lara, inspite of Lara's ugly behavior, which every one saw on TV. The match referees should be trained to be impartial, to make cricket more enjoyable. "Referees keep your favoritism within you while doing your job. Otherwise don't undertake the job". "Let us pray for better and impartial referees in cricket".

by rengith on Jun 13, 2006 02:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

this is something that has been there for a long time, remember that test is southafrica when almost everybody was fined, and ganguly was their favorite,he was put under the microscope for everything from not bowling fast to excessive appealing and all,and now this,if this is not double standards,i wonder what is?.the icc should have a very serious look at this matter

yes--see WI players and their nature of contratual condititions with their board and look our players only want to earn more-----more and no voice to give statements against such partial decisions.our board is only and only responsible.i vouch thatall players in world except indians cry, make obscene scenes and liable to be booked under IPC 302/307 but our board members are blind, dumb and deaf---follower of gandhi

BCCI is much more interested in money rather than thinking about the affairs regarding our players...

ICC constantly levying fines, hearings, etc. are a shear result of BCCI's ONLY MONEY ATTITUDE.

BCCI is no where concerned about the NATION & ITS PLAYERS.....

Our board must protest and fire ICC.

The idiots sitting in the board don't have time to care about such issues. They are interested only to fight each other , make more money and make sure there position in the next election. I pity them, bunch of donkeys!

Not New
by NARESH M LODHA on Jun 13, 2006 02:03 PM  Permalink

These incidents are not new. It was happening since the Referee were appointed. Previously nobody from Indian Media or persons who mattered raised any objection because Ganguly was at the helm of affairs and people didn't like his boldness. So why we are crying now.

We ourselves allow others to treat us in this shabby manner.
