What does it make
by Sriram on Jun 13, 2006 06:52 PM  Permalink

What does it make even if he is biased.Everyone knows that he underplayed Lara's part and was biased against Sehwag but why this sudden hue and cry.

There have been numerous instances in which Ganguly was penalised for standing against.Slater's incident was a good one.

So this is part and parcel of the game.BCCI is the richest board and is bullying against the big body ICC.Definitely ppl which have grudge. They have started a gang war against the ICC in matters such as 20-20 Cricket etc.

So nothing will change even if we cry foul play?

Anti India Bias
by Avinash Nema on Jun 13, 2006 06:43 PM  Permalink

Not only the third umpire The entire TV coverage is biased. To an experienced watcher it is apparent that facts and footage favouring India is downplayed. For Instance a replay favouring India is less likely to be showed or repeated but if there is a footage or argument favoring West Indies it will be repetedly shown. I have often noticed that Hawk Eye replays favoring Indian Bowlers are often either not shown or diluted.

It looks like a cartel of commentators, third umpires doing their bit on the field whereas at a higher level ICC and others deny India their share of Umpires (No Indian Umpire in the panel so far) or ensure Anti India umpires like Steve Buckner;s etc as well as host of other things like unfavorable revenue sharing,Inconvenient and hectic tour schedules etc.

It is time when a focus and objective study is built on such fine doctoring rather than having some senseless masala programme on our TV channels which are made for masses the way cheap and vulgar films were produced for Stalls.

Match Referee against India
by Anil on Jun 13, 2006 06:42 PM  Permalink

Is our board insane or not brave enough to voice the injustice. It is very cowardish on our front to leave matters so easily.

Cricket
by y.sriramulu on Jun 13, 2006 06:27 PM  Permalink

Asian Cricketers are always subjected to wrong end of the stick. Even Asian refrees like Ranjan Madugalle like fellows were anti-Asian. Basically Asian cricketers and Administrators are timid, not united and have lot of inferiority complex. They should take over ICC and dominate. together they should appeal to the ICC and try to correct the situation.

Even umpires are anti-asian when they play other countries. most of the wrong decisions are given against Asian cricketers.

Media should be vociferous in pointing out these issues to ICC.

Match Referee
by Anil Agrawal on Jun 13, 2006 06:25 PM  Permalink

He is not biased against India. Incompetent persons have no bias. The gentleman was mortally afraid of Lara and West Indies cricket, Dave Richardson and ICC. What about Simon Tauffel and Asad Rau? They have disgraced the profession. How is T.V. replay responsible? It was happening before their eyes and they want T.V. replay to prove the point. Their faces showed that they were helpless before Lara's verbal onslaught. I wish Sindhu was the batsman.

time for bcci to rise
by prashant vyas on Jun 13, 2006 06:23 PM  Permalink

Well its time for BCCI to show that it not only has tongue but the teeth as well to bite the ICCs hands that touch our indian players.

ICC has been waging its tongue for long now and has always shown disrespect to not only our players but the sub-continent players be it from pakistan or sri lanka its time for the three nations board to rise up in arms against the step fatherly treatment.
